I've never actually made a bullet journal before. I was looking for some videos on what it's about, and I came across this. This is the kind of gift your daughter's never getting rid of. Yep, I figured out years ago a grid guide is best utilized when it can be used against the page you’re designing. I’ve always pulled mine out and kept it in the back pocket.

This is so gorgeous and exactly the kind of journal set up I've been looking everywhere for. And the prettiest ive seen anywhere. I wish we could follow its progress throughout the year. Just wondering why you only set up the first 3 months though....is that how long this journal will last?

Thank you! Yeah, if I did the math right this journal will probably only last about 3 months but only because I use a pretty good amount of pages per month. Most people would probably be able fit 6 months.

WOW! I needed this. I am a junk journal and mixed media creator, and while I loved watching bullet journals, they do not work for me. I began using planners way back when Franklin Planner first came out and it fit exactly my style of planning. Since that time I still use the bases of that planner, but I print my own pages. The thing is, my artistic side desires to be able to do art in my journal, so I have wanted to decorate my journal differently. This share has set me free and has given me ideas I never would otherwise have. Thank you for sharing!

This is soooo inspiring! So many awesome takeaways! The grid spacing bookmark (and cute pocket)... the tabs... the alternative liner paper... the vellum... I have so much wash tape and so many stamps and I (sadly) rarely use them - but not any more! Dragging those babes out! And love how you don't edit out your oopses - rather show how to roll with them and fix them (the ideal day page when you pulled off the brown paper and some was left behind - i probably would have gotten so frustrated. I'm gonna channel you next time something like that happens to me.)

I understand this ... I like the art and scrap booking (I am a professional artist) but I like my bullet journal to be minimalistic and mainly black and brown... just super simple or I get super distracted by all the pretty stuff. I love watching people making all these creative journals because people layouts can inspire me (I added a daily mood chart and a medication tracker).

I don't want to discourage you but try not to compare your BulletJournal too much to others and how pretty theirs is. I was so overwhelmed when I started because I too wanted it nice and good-looking. Progress comes over time. If I put my current and first BulletJournal side by side you wouldn't know the same person made them.

Thank you so much!! It's called a "tiny attacher" by Tim Holtz. It's a mini stapler for scrapbooking. I got it from Joann Fabrics but I'm pretty sure it's sold on Amazon as well.

Thank you! I've had it for about 15-20 years. I have looked online and I can't seem to find one similar, they are all much larger. This one is 7.5x8.5 and it's perfect! I am going to keep searching, since mine is so old that it's starting to warp, and if I find one I will link it in the description box.

All those decorative papers are beautiful. Your daughter will love to use her bullet journal because all the spreads are pretty. I love how scrapbooking looks in other people's bullet journals but I also think that scrapbooking isn't my style. I understand what you meant when you said that this theme didn't feel like your style.

Thanks! I love the style but honestly I think the colors had a lot to do with it too. They are a little more pastel than I'm used to. However, the more I sit and look at it on my desk, the prettier it gets! 😂

Hi! 👋 ☺️ I’m so glad you are giving bullet journaling another shot! I don’t have a link to the cutting mat that I use. I’ve had it for probably 20 years and I can’t even find a similar one. There are cutting mats on Amazon but they are either much larger or smaller. I would recommend searching for a self healing cutting mat on either Amazon or a craft store like Joann Fabrics to see which one you would prefer. Hope that helps!

Beautiful spreads. This pink/cream combo is really pretty. And a strategic dutch door is genius. As someone with a minimal bullet journal, I always feel kinda off while seeing other people's super decorative bujos. I don't think it's exactly jealousy because I really love my own system but I just feel so alone sometimes. That is exactly how I was feeling! That’s why I created this beautiful but elaborate setup, I was trying to compete. I’m so happy that I did this so that I can share it with my daughter and with you guys but I’m also glad that I was able to recognize that my style is very different, I love to draw in my journal, and there is nothing wrong with that!

hi happy new year! would you share how do you film your journals? I like the setup that it has a very minimal shadow in your vids =)

I'm sure I will one day but right now it changes per video until I get it right. 🤣 All I use is a ring light and my camera. The only thing I do to minimize shadows is I turn off the overhead lights in the room and use two white poster boards beside me to reflect the ring light. Hope that helps. 😁
