You can make the first page that doesn't open completely into a pocket by only glueing the bottom and side! I wouldn't put an anything important in there, but it's nice for stickers or something like that :)

That's a great idea! I usually only list the daily lunch and dinner on my weekly pages, but every once in a while a bigger grocery/meal prep section would probably be very beneficial! 😊 Also I really hope you'll enjoy the new journal! I had the same grey one last year 😊

@@JournalAway thanks! I got some acrylographs to use with it too. I’m excited for it to get here. I can’t decide what theme to do for my book this year. I haven’t made up a theme yet. But I just watched your 2018 video and it helped me feel a little better about my indecision lol I just have SO many spreads that I feel would be beneficial to me in the yearly layout section that I’m not sure how to set it up. (Because doing them month by month seems tedious)

I just did something very similar with a printed color palette in my Dutch door Spread!! It kind of felt like cheating but it turned out very colorful and it was exactly the color scheme I wanted. The printed color palette is a great tip! Where do you get your sticker paper? And as always I love the painting!!! So realistic! Peace and many blessings 💜

For 2021, I also used a notebook from Notebook therapy, mainly because of the positive feedback from many KZbinrs. The quality of the paper and also the general design is really good, unfortunately I was very disappointed by the quality of the outer hardcover. It was somehow "sticky" and quickly had marks on it, which is why it looked totally ugly and used after just a few days. As I said, I was otherwise very satisfied with it. Nevertheless, I decided to buy one from Archer and olive for 2022. Great video, I love the colour you used ✨😍

Ahhh I totally hear you! I think the outer cover is not the most ideal material for sure. In the light grey journal I used last year it wasn't so visible, but it definitely gets dents pretty easily. The Archer and Olive linen cover definitely has a little bit higher quality feel, but that one also gets dusty pretty fast, haha 😄 My favorite cover of all time is the black Lemome hardcover faux leather! I wish other companies would come out with something like that 😊

My white vegan-leather Notebook Therapy did mark fairly easily, but I am very careful with my journals so it's not looking too bad. This year's one is their soft-feel cover (navy with whale on it) and it's gorgeous and doesn't mark nearly so easily, so they do options. Mine wasn't sticky though so not sure what you have there. Try out their non-vegan leather covers, they're like velvet in the hand. I love them so much.

I use the program Adobe Photoshop for all the pictures, drawing and editing I do digitally 😊 I simply create color palettes in it and print them on white paper. Hope this helps!
