When I used to work in DTLA I would walk two miles each way every so often to eat at Langer's. I would not order the #19 but get the Pastrami only, I loved the meat so much I don't want anything but the Pastrami it's so good. I also ran into and met Albert Brooks down there.

The pastrami sandwich (#19) looked unbelievable! Langers definitely does not skimp on the meat. $24 does seem expensive for a sandwich though. If the minimum wage is $15 in Los Angeles County, how can minimum wage workers ever afford to eat here? Thanks Lisa for acknowledging that the price is steep. You always keep it real.

Katz's gives you a literal pound of meat on every sandwich, Langer's does not. Regardless how good either pastrami is. Langer's sandwich is $22-24 while Katz's is $26 last I checked. But you get way, way more meat on Katz's and I find Katz's pastrami is better anyways. You can't go wrong with either mind you, but for the money, you definitely get your money's worth at Katz's.

I honestly don't think that you'll ever go wrong eating Hot pastrami sandwiches! I fell in love with this sandwich back in 1889 when I first tried it at Togo's sandwiches in Dublin California with my nephew...

Went there several years ago. It’s expensive but definitely worth it!! I can’t wait to go back! I’ve been trying to find a pastrami sandwich as good as this in my hometown (Las Vegas). I’ve been to so many delis but Langer’s is so tender and juicy!!! If you’re in LA give it a try. You won’t be disappointed!

I’m back. Still say New York Deli here in Torrance is a must too. Those triple sandwiches are unmatched. Lines always long when I go by Langers so I never bother to try to get in.

Perfect connoisseurs! Exceptional review on the famous pastrami rye! My cousin is the pastrami lover, but I have to say, Lisa’s corn beef sauerkraut looked amazing and on behalf of my mother who loved her corn beef and sauerkraut, I’d have to try it in her honor! Especially if it’s a Michelin rating deli! Ok, but I have to say it will definitely go with a side of that hearty delicious chili cheese fries!
