2022 Ford Explorer ST High Performance Pkg - Whats New For Explorer in 2022? POV Review And Drive.

In todays video I get to drive a 2022 Ford Explorer ST with the ST performance brake pkg. This Explorer ST is basically fully loaded and its stickers at $60,015 !
For 2022 you can get this ST with only rear wheel drive if you dont need the AWD system. It will certainly will be fun to drive with just RWD for sure!
I have driven almost all trim of Explorers but this certainly is the most fun. Power comes from a 3 liter TT V6 with 400 hp and it definitely moves very well, handling is pretty good, nice direct steering and plenty of tire for goos grip in corners. Its not a X5M but it sure feels play full to drive and have some fun!. The ST Explorer's suspension is lowered about an inch has revised performance shocks, revised springs and a bigger sway bar. The brakes feel fantastic with great stopping power from those updated pads of the brake pkg which is a great option of you are getting an ST Explorer. Overall it definitely drives much different than the regular Explorers, much more engaging, taut and ready for action.

OMG! I love my ST! I bought mine May 28, 2022 with the whole DEAL! I got all the bells and whistles for this baby and I absolutely love her! Drove her off the lot with 28miles and I’m ready to explore. I got the metallic grey! I was in between the red one or all black. But the metallic grey was just calling my name. Hehe

Picked up my Carbonized Grey ST on May 5, 2022. It is an awesome vehicle. Btw… ordered it WITHOUT the Premium Tech Package, which means it does NOT have that goofy looking iPad type infotainment screen.

Just an FYI. It comes with a shade. I'm on my 4th vehicle with the panoroof and your point is mute 😂 So now you just have a super boring roof 😅

I really enjoy my ST. Shame many versions no longer come fully loaded like my 2020. I’m averaging 22 mpg over 21k miles.

Really love the Explorer ST, loved the way it drives. Yes Ford does do that some times when one year to another they switch around standard options, etc. Its definitely different now. 22 mpg is pretty good milage, specially with that kind of power, Thank you for watching!

I'm Canadian but live in Mexico. Here the ST comes in only 1 version. Loaded except for the black wheels / brakes and tow package. It even has screens in the headrest. Also, only 2nd row bench, which is quite practical just less cool. So I'm strongly considering putting 22" aftermarket on it. Anyway just got it about 1 month and a half ago and I love it.

Just got my 23. It’s a shame ford puts all the goodies in one package. I really wanted the red and blue stitching with the better sound system but have to spend almost 5k for the 401a package. I don’t want all that other crap

I prefer my vehicles be able to fuel and go in less than 15 minutes when I’m traveling. Good luck with your Tesla doing that.

@@sgt.grinch3299 might be bc you travel more than 250 miles per day and/or you don’t sleep at home 95%of the time. Most people can charge their cars while sleeping and don’t travel more than 250-300 miles a day. I guarantee you that more than 95% of gas cars have more down time than electric cars. Let’s say it takes 3 -5 minutes to go to the gas stations 2-3 a month. That’s…let’s say 15 minutes a month. With electric you charge while you sleep. And never go to a gas station again. How long do you think a super charger takes?

@@Mike060504 I'm not a ford fanboy at all, but it's one of the funniest SUV I've driven, and I've owned a F-Pace S. 3 rows and sporty, it's the perfect compromise if you're tired of sports cars and don't want to own a boring SUV. I love the thing. Only other Ford I have owned in myfe life is the Shelby GT350 (new version) the year it came out. Tesla is way too unreliable and orders take forever. I once cancelled an order that had been on wait list for 2 years. Their cars are also ugly as eff except for the aging S. Eff their cars, I like Star X starlink though. Now, if you want to call people fan boy, at least don't be one. Seems like you'll jump off a bridge if Elon asked you to do so.
