We've just purchased geely okavango for it's very spacious inside. No problem with the third row seats. You just have to request the occupants in the second row to move forward a little. And there's no need to provide usb ports in the third row. Not all passengers are simultaneously charging their phones. For me, it's the best buy for us as we love to travel. True to what they say, okavango is a combination of an suv, crossover and mpv. Price is just right, being high-tech and hybrid vehicle. 👍👍👍

The most underated reviewer, the best for me and not only because of the torture test 9:20 which is quite a big help for families shopping for a spacious vehicle but detailed driving experience by the man, Roy Robles as well.

Great review bro! Simple and easy to watch, not trying hard to sound smart or funny. Very informative and helpful comments. We just test driver this car and will buy tomorrow. I disagree with the space in the 3rd row, I'm 6ft tall and it has plenty of space for me with a slight adjustment of the 2nd row seats. Keep it up!!

there is a reason why you see so many of these on the road.. when it was cheap. Now your ubran plus' price at 1.765M is already knocking at the SUV price range. This simply can't compete with the next generation everest trend model at 1.799M. You can't say it's cheap enough to compete with other 7 seater cars in the market like the expanders, toyota rush, Veloz. It made more sense when the Okavango was priced at 1.2M when no one else can compete with it.

It's right there in the pricepoint of the Innova now, and rightfully so. I think it is trying to compete directly with the Innova. It has the size, the power, more tech and better space management. But I agree that it is a lot more expensive now than it first launch. Well, we need to consider inflation and all other factors now. That being said, I don't think it's competing with compact MPVs like the Ertiga or the Xpander. It is targeting a different market. Is it still a good value? Maybe not as good as before but still that price is warranted for all the features it has. I've seen Geely in showrooms. Fit and finish is quite solid. Could be a good consideration if you're looking for a larger than usual 7-seater MPV/crossover.

Indeed, it does feel like the Okavango is lined up against a whole lot of competitors both above and below its price range

Okavango lost its luster after its SRP increased by 40%.. More families opted for the more practical MPVs like the Expander, xl7, and the tech loaded Veloz. And now with the upcoming FWD unibody Innova, the okavango might be left behind.
@techshortpants Жыл бұрын
the lack of mainstream ADAS, for that price one could just forego Okavango and go for the Cherry Tiggo Pro 8 2.0L AWD (ADAS, Adaptive Cruise control, Low speed follow, paddle shifters, 6 drive modes, all wheel drive on 254HP and 390Nm of torque) AND BETTER after sales and parts + warranty

Where is your review of montero sport?
@mindfreeze08382 жыл бұрын
I think comparing this with either a xl7 or xpander cross and then with something like a Fortuner or Monty would be a good comparo. Its on the more expensive side of MPV's but its feature set and dimensions are more in the PPV side of things. I thinks its good if youre hauling large and oddly shaped cargo on occasion and less than 6 people. Also im a bit disappointed in that fuel economy for a mild hybrid but its hauling all that mass with a 1. 5l 3 cylinder( which love to drink in fuel when you open them up).

The Okavango was definitely one of the most load-friendly MPV/SUV/PPV(?) we've reviewed so far. Getting that bike in there was quite easy!

1.5million will get you near Japanese SUV pricing with the added bonus of a stable and established dealer network, not hating at all it just needs to be mentioned. I have driven one and it really was amazing back when it was 1.3million, at the current prices it's knocking on some serious competition, tho in the tech side of things it has an upper hand.
@RealRoyRobles2 жыл бұрын
You're absolutely right. With Geely slowly proving itself to be quite a reliable brand with solid offerings, though, I think it's starting to give more established brands something to think about. Competition is always a good thing and I'm glad that the new players are starting to get better and better!

@RealRoyRobles2 жыл бұрын
The Ertiga will certainly be a more affordable and smaller option than the Okavango. TBH, when I first saw the Okavango, it was just so bland, like a loaf of bread that I never had high hopes for it, but after testing it out, it makes alot of sense on so many levels.
