Looks great indeed!…….I’m 78 and will pick up my new Giant Stance E+2 this coming week. Would probably have picked this for my gentle trails here in the Santa Monica mountains if available! Rob

Nice informative video, thanks. I also have a '22 Stance E+1 and love it. I have explored many new dirt roads around Southern Calif. and think it's a very capable MTB for someone that just likes to have an enjoyable ride in the dirt.

Been riding Mountain eBikes for nearly 7 years now - $5000 and higher eBikes should NOT be laid on the ground or merely leaned against something. Thats why most eBikes now come with them as standard. Kickstands are appropriate just like on a motorcycle. I ride very serious and bumpy trails in the Santa Monica Mountains and I have NEVER, not ONCE had a modern kickstand EVER bounce to the down position - EVER. This is an old story carried over from the old days of Sting ray bikes and early dirt bikes. It just doesn't happen. Kickstands are extremely convenient and functional while adding less weight than an average bowel movement.

Great video, I just bought one, non fender and rack, love it, great pricing and it gets up down and back up the trail heads here in California, couldn't be happier, smooth power and very comfortable...

It’s not going to be for everybody but like you said it’s the sport utility of mountain bikes I think this segment could definitely grow I’ve been in this industry 20 years and I’ve had multiple people over the years ask for something like this

Thanks so much for your very informative video. I just brought this bike home from the store today and then found your video. I was so glad to find that they had what i wanted at my local bike shop, Freedom Cycle. We are so fortunatel to have such great bike shops in our town. They only had one of these and it was my size and I feel very lucky to have found this bike on first trip. i live at the bottom of Three Blind Mice in Penticton bc...some rockin bike trails that i want to ride in a leisurely way. but i also want to be able to ride to town on an old rail line to do my shopping. This bike does it all. its going to be a great summer!

Excellent run down, thank you - I'm looking at this to replace my RadRover [my fat tire grocery getter / half the price] which is 75lbs and doesn't rip like my G Trance... the Stance it should fit the bill - nicely snug between mtn and gravel.

You are absolutely right! This is the future. Nowdays in UK all mountain bikes without fenders and lights are prohibited on main roads and police just toke this bikes. So, this is exactly where ALL brands should go. If you want pure bike, it is not that difficu;lt to remove the fenders. But with them, the bike right away is road legal.

Hello Giant. You need to bring this EX option to the USA market.

Outstanding. I just picked up a Roam E+, and the first thing I did was added a luggage rack, lights, and kickstand. I don't need fenders on it since it's a hard tail. I love it as my 'townie' bike and grocery getter. And I've taken it on some mid-level single track as well. It's a real bone shaker, making me wish I'd gotten a FS bike. BUT - then I'd want wider, squishier tires, which wouldn't be good for road-only rides. Always compromises. For now, two bikes, I think, is the solution.
@BikeBrosBikeShop2 жыл бұрын
Great to hear. Your additions are very common requests and bone shaker feedback is rather common too which is, I believe, the inspiration for this model.

Just got this bike from Black Friday sales. Haven't yet gotten its full potential thanks to the winter weather. I also did remove all the mud guards that came pre-installed and added smaller ones.

@Bike Bros Hey, do yoy still have any bikes there at the shop? I'm having some trouble with my bikes locking mechanism. When the battery is put inside and I hear it lock, I'm after that able to just pull it out from the sides eith my fingers, and then press the trigger to open. Without using any keys. Have you experinced this?
@BikeBrosBikeShop2 жыл бұрын
@@SantaGamerKZbin I haven't seen that before. Check with the shop you bought from. They should be able to sort things out and, if needed, Giant looks after shops quite well (in Canada at least) so they should be able to get things working for you.

@@BikeBrosBikeShop A bit late but solved the issue. One of the screws on the battery had slipped and unscrewed which then got it stuck.

Excellent video Graham, you have made a very technical, professional, and at the same time useful explanation, for which I congratulate you. I am writing to you from Catalonia (Spain), here unfortunately and at the moment, I cannot get this model, although I have been following it for a long time and I have been informed about it. The truth is that I focused more on the superior model, the Giant Stance E + X Pro, but unfortunately it will not come to our country, at least for now. So I thought about equipping (lights, fenders, luggage rack ...) the Giant Stance E + 1, although it has the Yamaha Sport engine which is inferior, the geometry is the same, although now you say in the video that it is not possible to get the fenders, bus rack ... Separately, for now I have found the light and the leg, we know that the fender is essential to be able to put the luggage rack. In any case, its frame geometry allows anchoring, since it has holes, in auxiliary companies it can be found such as SkS. Currently, at 52 years old, I have a fantastic lung trekking Scott, which I want to exchange for an e-bike like this, for my trips on trails with saddlebags. Yesterday I got on the Scott that you mention (Scott Stike E-ride) its geometry allows you to mount fenders etc. But Scott - Syncross do not sell them separately either, at least in Spain. However, I was not very comfortable on the Scott size S, since its upper tube in its central part touched me in the mid-leg, declining its purchase, as it was narrower in the axes, and tall for my height (1 ' 68cm) in the central part of the bike, I felt like "locked in it", it was a shame, because I had already ordered it. So, I think I'll go for the Giant Stance, it's a little lower than the Scott, I think it does more sloping, and although it's not that high on the steered, it is on the saddle. Do you think it can be more comfortable? ... I must go more upright because of a back injury and I can't practice endure mountain biking, if not more like traveling, tracks, green ways ... it is another way to enjoy the bicycle that I also like, I go Fast on the roads, but I avoid the roads with a lot of stone and complicated, you understand me ... This type of bicycle is ideal for me, because I use the bicycle very trail. Greetings Graham, thank you very much, and apologies for the length of the text, and for my poor English. Thank you so much!!!

Thanks for watching. I think the Stance small could work. You may want to put higher rise handlebars on for your comfort.

@@BikeBrosBikeShop there is one at my bike shop!! 2 in stock rn :)) Do you think it's okay for winter too? Does shock lock?
@BikeBrosBikeShop2 жыл бұрын
@@ericchaboyer7001 No lockout but not really needed. Probably quite good for winter... just keep suspension stuff really clean if you're in an area that uses a lot of salt - alloy suspension parts don't like salt!
@ericchaboyer70012 жыл бұрын
@@BikeBrosBikeShop I don't drive on roads so I'll be fine with salt :) I don't trust the road, never getting a car ever in my life. Will bike my future fam to school or my wife can drive lol. What if I'm in Canada and it's substantially cold? Would the suspension be ok?
@BikeBrosBikeShop2 жыл бұрын
@@ericchaboyer7001 in theory once temps start getting quite cold, there is added likelihood of issues with air-sprung suspension with different materials shrinking at different rates in cold and hydraulic fluid's viscosity changing. We really don't see enough very cold suspension usage to give much insight but I do see full suspension fatbikes on the trail at -15
