@@GuruHikes I just posted about you on my Twitter channel. I also gave the link to your Playlist for the Appalachian Trail Hike. Also, when I typed @GuruHikes it did not turn blue for them to click on! Should it be something else? I want them to find your channel.

Thank you so much!! ♥️ Twitter is the only big platform I'm not on so probably why it didn't turn blue....actually I guess I should go ahead and take the username if it's available. I really appreciate the support!

Just grabbed @Guruhikes on Twitter 😁 but don't plan on really posting there. I saw where you mentioned me and it links the videos to my KZbin playlist. So thanks so much again! ♥️♥️

I should be at 12 lbs base for my AT thru this year and concerned about my shoulders as most packs make me sore there on long hikes.. opinions from you would be awesome
@GuruHikes2 жыл бұрын
12 lbs is really good! The shoulder pads and hip belt on this pack are the best I've seen on an ultralight backpack. The GG Kumo would get uncomfortable to me around 22lbs but I've carried well over 25lbs in this and was very comfortable. The majority of the weight in this pack when empty seems to be the padding on the hip and shoulder straps, and they are so worth the weight. I wouldn't go over 30lbs full just to be safe, but for 12lbs base plus around 10lbs food/water, this thing would rock! Good luck on your AT hike!

so you take out a 3oz frame but bring an umbrella?
@GuruHikes Жыл бұрын
Yes! I just thru hiked the PCT (2650 miles) in 2022, and had had a base weight below 6 pounds for most of the hike. I think I explained well enough why it was important to ME. I don't feel the need for a frame when my pack is so light anyway. To each their own is a very important rule when packing a pack!

Great to see you back and an awesome review. How much weight can you carry comfortably? Happy Hiking!
@GuruHikes3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! The most I had in it at any point was 26lbs, and I was still comfy. I wouldn't go more than 30lbs../to keep the stress off of the stitching of the fabric more than anything. But like I said in the video, the padding on the hips and waist are crazy comfy for how lightweight it is.

Great review, thanks for taking the time:) liked the idea of using the 1/8 pad as frame/backrest instead of the seat pad

Can you make more videos of car living?
@GuruHikes2 жыл бұрын
Hey! I appreciate the recommendation! Currently my car is not set up to live out of and I have a very hectic schedule for the next two months. I would be glad to answer any questions you have about the process though! For my next big project, I will be leaving my current job in March and doing preparation videos for the Pacific Crest Trail. I will then be hiking and filming for about 4-5 months starting in April.
