I have owned a 2021 Grand Design Reflection for over a year and have had nothing but problems! In fact right now, I have been parked at RV Renovators in Mesa, Az for almost two weeks, waiting on parts for my non-functional slide-out, and a host of other issues. Let's see... four plumbing leaks, defective pull valves for both the black and gray tanks, valances falling off the window frames, trim coming off everywhere, damaged rear leveling legs due to their being so low to the ground. And that's just year one! Had to purchase a lithium battery compatible converter to replace the cheap wet-cell only unit ( remember, it's a 2021 model). As far as the slide-out failure, the Techs tell me that it is not because the new slide systems are bad, it's the factory folks not installing them properly! As with the overall quality. I can tell you that I have the worst case of buyer's remorse, ever! And it's not just me, there are 100' of G.D owners on youtube with the same issues. And oh yeah.. let's just call them Winnebago's from now on... I mean, Winnebago bought G.D. back in 2016

I have a 2021 303RLS which I absolutely love. After seeing this it would be amazing to have that solar already installed and that refrigerator. They just keep getting better and better.

Just the best Reflection walk thru. Hands down. I actually had a deposit down on another 5th wheel and after your reviews dumped it and got a Reflection 28BH. Sorry not close to Canada or would have made the trip.

That is for a great walk-thru! Grand Design has a reputation for quality and service after the sale If I were buying I would put GD at the top of the list. This is a beautiful layout that has many wonderful features. The kitchen is amazing!!! A standard queen size bed is huge! No need for special sheets or needing to force your standard sheets to fit into a non-standard mattress size! Thanks for clarifying in another comment that the entire left side of the refrigerator is actually the freezer. I had assumed that but when you were showing the crisper bins that made me question if there really was a freezer included. It is my understanding that the 12 volt refrigerators are better because the RV doesn't necessarily have to be perfectly level in order for the refrigerator to work. Is that your understanding as well? Thank you again for the wonderful review of this beautiful trailer!

Love the fridge. I hope it has a freezer or can get cold enough to hold a freeze from products. This is important to me cause I’m a hunter. I’m currently saving for this Exact layout. Still debating on a wardrobe slide or not😂 Side note: these vids from woodys is why I got into looking at the 5th wheel reflections. Very informative, keep up the good work!

One of the benefits is if you have a solar panel, and two or more batteries (agm or lithium), you can park this thing and it’ll be just fine for w week in the boonies without running a generator daily. What I mean is the fridge will run with just solar. Add a solar panel and battery and you’re good for days.

Clayton Your videos are my go to when researching the Grand Design Models. We are narrowing are selection to the 303rls. We like the upgrades of the 2022. Solar, 12v fridge, backup camera, and the bathroom instant hot water at a selected temp. We have looked at the 2020 and up, But the 2022 upgrades we favoring the 2022, and willing to make an investment. I have also heard rumors about the quality of RV's not good during the 2020 thru 2022 due to COVID. Repairs had increased. Have seen any issues with Grand Design? Again Great Videos.

I have always leaned towards the 303RLS but was waiting for some of these upgrades glad to see GD finally realized the 303 is the most popular unit . Love it except I liked the lighter colored furniture is that still an option ? All brown makes it way to dark ! I do like this new refrigerator as it doesn't have the wood panel and I like the size !

There is a rod to hang clothes in the closet when you come in the door .It can be either a pantry or wardrobe.The shelf is removable. Our Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi is rated to pull 9000 pounds.This trailer is 1/2 ton pullable.

Kathryn, thank you for commenting. We would however strongly advise against pulling this trailer with a half ton truck. The dry hitch weight alone is far too heavy. We would encourage you to look into the actual payload capacity of your truck. You can find this rating on the door pillar of your truck. In addition, we would recommend looking in to the GD Reflection 150 Series. These fifth wheels are designed to be pulled by half tons with the right weight ratings. We hope this helps. I was looking at another video on the Grand design Transcend 240ML done by a dealership in Texas.He was saying that it was not 1/2 ton towable and that it did not have any hanging storage. Your video however on the same unit was informative and very accurate which led us to purchase one in Ontario.Looking forward to picking it up this week.

The only issue with grand design they do not use azdel siding that will never delaminate. Yes you need to go up to the roof to do inspections but retired folks in there 60 to 70 may not be able to do that. Grand design Ad azdel siding

I hope grand design doesn’t downgrade to Azdel siding. They use Luan in their siding construction and in all my research it is a higher quality product to Azdel. There are also several people who have reported having problems with their Azdel siding bubbling, I’ve never heard of an issue with Luan.

We brought one last year Took it to three states had no issues Winter came we winter it fir the winter but a few days ago we got it ready for travel and now we have to replace e our tankless water heater there is a hole in the top left pipe very upset over this we only had this rv for less than 8 months need additional advise on recalls for the tankless water heater pipe blows or get holes during park need Simone to talk to me we love our rv but this is madden very upset

The 12V fridges are only currently available in the Transcend, Imagine, and Reflection lines. In the Solitude & Momentum fifth wheels, the 2-way and Residential fridges are the only options currently available.

Cindy Terry, thanks for the question. You cannot get a king bed in the 303RLS. That said, they offer 2 models that are close. The 320MKS and 337RLS offer a king bed slide. Be sure to check both these models out!!😀

Almost bought a ‘22 Reflection 303 but decided on another brand (same floorplan!) at the end of the day. Here is WHY I made that decision, and I’ll spare you the hyper sales talk the host is dishing out here. 1. No option for frameless windows (only framed, single or dual)…I got dual pane frameless on mine. This alone knocks the Reflection line down a few pegs for me…it simply cannot be called a luxury or even premium fifth wheel when it lacks the frameless window option! 2. Zero option for slide toppers…and if you want to do a dealer install, the campside slide cannot have one put on because there isn’t enough clearance for hardware due to the main awning. Deal breaker for the reflection 303…I got factory slide toppers on all 3 slides of my unit! 3. No rear bumper! Honestly…probably not needed but it’s the first defense if you ever back up and accidentally touch something. Even a gentle inch-too-far move on the 303 would result in cracking of the fiberglass wall…I’d rather have the bumper there just in case. 4. No slam latch on the front compartment, no shade in the door window, no self close screen door, no hot water recirc valve (it’s the little things that count sometimes!). 5. Carpet in the bedroom…ya, no thanks! 6. No option for dual day/night shades…another deal breaker for me. Again, you cannot call the Reflection “luxury” or premium without options like this. Mine also came standard with a 1000 watt inverter, even though I don’t have the residential fridge (I got the huge 18cf gas fridge instead, boon-docking friendly). At the end of the day I had to get the other brand because it made more sense, but it was close tho. As for build quality…meh, they’re all the same sub-par sketch if it’s coming from Indiana. Best advice is to get on the forums for real-world owner feedback before purchasing anything.

Ck3412, thanks for the detailed comments. Sounds like you found a trailer with the accessories you felt important to have. We’ve always promoted GDRV as the manufacturer that not only builds the value/quality in, but also adding in new tech features others simply won’t invest in. With that said, there are a few features you can add on a Reflection at the dealer level you may have be misinformed about, the biggest being slide topper awnings. Although not overly popular, we’ve added many slide topper packages on the Reflection (all slides) in our service departments. We can also add most of the other features you’ve noted easily as well. Thanks again for your comments. We wish you all the best in creating many memories in your new RV.
