It's difficult but not impossible. You'll have to bend the studs outward on the frame in the back in order for the studs to go through the three holes on your fender. Make sure it's aligned straight before tightening anything down or you'll end up where it's not completely straight. You'll have to also cut your license plate down quite a bit for it to fit inside the plate holder. It takes time and it'll take more patients. Let me know if you need additional help once you get it. I would tell you to cancel it and your order if you have time or if you could, but if you can’t then just be prepared to spend some time getting it to all work correctly. For as much money as they are charging for this plate holder it’s definitely not worth it , even though the after look and appearance, is very nice.

@@HarleyDavidsonMan thanks for the pointers man..I read somewhere someone sed they went and got better screws and it helped out a lot should I do that? Longer screws cuz they were to short??? I’ll definitely do if it helps out a lot

@@TheSkyhighmusic The license plate bracket has studs that are already pre-attached or should I say already welding on the bracket. The bolts itself is actually fine - they're longer than what we have in there as stock. The tiny screws that attached the frame around the plate is extremely small and you'll need an allen-key that fits reading glasses and there is no way to get longer of those either. It looks good on the bike but the technical design wasn't designed by anyone who has a Heritage. I have absolutely zero mechanical skills and it took me roughly 4 hours to get it together and on. Just remember, every bolt and even those tiny screws - use locktite. The tiny screws seems as though they are only hanging on by a thread or two. I know if I even have to take the plate out - I'll just remove the entire thing and get something easier to install and this will go in the garbage. It's a pain for sure but like I said, it does look nice once it's on.

@@HarleyDavidsonMan will do brother thanks again! Yah I’m puttin this on a LRS and I did look around for others but this was the only one where it didn’t have the 4 bolts showing from the front to where others had to sharpie it black lol this definitely had the cleanest look

@@HarleyDavidsonMan so I returned it man didn’t want to go thru the BS haaa I didn’t want to later down the line get another one might as well get it once and that’s it went with the kuryakyn one just gona get black bolts so it looks all black from the outside

I looked at that 1 initially and the parts guy at the dealership said no they don't fit right and recommended I go with Kuryakan.

Yes, definitely don't fit right but with heavy modifications, it can. For the cost of it, you shouldn't have to modify anything. Total ripoff in my opinion.

To be fair. Ohio has a stupid size for MC plates.

I believe Ohio is pretty much the same size as most other states. The Drag Specialities frame that I installed has a window that is super small and much smaller than any license plate I've ever seen • at least here in the United States.

@@HarleyDavidsonMan It must have changed. In the early 2000s it was larger than most other states.

@@wb2194 It could have changed, not sure what the dimensions were in the past but they are 7 inches wide by 4 inches tall. I believe I had to trim off roughly 1/4 inch on all sides and totally angle cut the four corners to remove the bolt holes in order for it to fit. Definitely a pain.

@@HarleyDavidsonMan I checked. Most all states have the same size now. There is one odd ball out there. I believe it is MI.
