I just bought a 2021 883 with only 143 miles on it and I'm going to tell you every video up looked at every picture I've seen I have yet to see anybody with any of the stuff this bike has and I love it the handlebars the exhaust the see the color I'm just excited I'm actually picking it up in a couple of days from the dealership I can't wait

I just got one of these and I’m the same height as you I opted for the model on the floor with forward control and my legs love that option.

A couple years ago I was at a shop and they had an 883 with V&H exhaust. Told my girls and wife to stand back and cover their ears. They were like, why? So I started it up. Lol! They were like, "SHUT IT OFF!" 😂😂😂 Great looking bike. I would lower the handlebars though.

How long can the 883 idle before it starts to overheat that air cooled engine? I'm thinking 107* Texas heat.

Personal experience and I just got mines a few days ago not that long before it sounds like it's about to shut off with super choppy idle. I was stuck at a 15 min train and I would imagine I waited 5 mins and then the idles got weird I noticed bike was getting hot so I shut her off. Rosenberg Texas 101 yesterday.

@@Harley_Dude Texas as well, about to buy mine next month and new to motorcycles. Do you mean just leaving idling like at a stop or something? Could it overheat from riding normally?

@@HyPeDCommando yes I was idle at the train tracks. It was a really hot day. You'll notice as you put on more miles the idle starts to get smoother. Just don't push it too hard until after your first 1000 mile oil change. About 300 miles Saturday makes 2 weeks I'll probably add another 200-250 this weekend going to Galveston. Awesome bike I get compliments 24/7 and noticed since I started riding a lot more of the older crowd has been getting out though it's pretty hot out to be full gear I still rock the full gear unless I know I'm not going over 40mph then I don't wear my jacket which is a huge difference. Also I found a leaking hose that wasn't properly secured. From the fuel line into the bottom of the engine. It was leaking gas literally smh. Brand new bike and I'm a new owner but I've worked on cars quick easy fix. Safe riding buddy I'm in Rosenberg if you're ever out this way let me know.

The engine ECM computer changes the idle to control temperature. You cannot predict an “overheat” because there is not a temperature gauge or parameters to monitor. Just have to let the programming do it’s job.
