2022 Honda Foreman 520 ES EPS 4x4 ATV review. We purchased this ATV for use at our 100 acre off grid property. Our Honda 520 is predominantly used for fire wood collection, hunting travels, gravel road leveling and trail riding/creation. This review is less technical than some others and focuses on drivability and nuances of the ATV itself on day to day use. We have owned the Honda 520 for just over 3 months with over 300 km's and have had no issues to date. This Honda Foreman 520 has electric shift which was a request by my wife as she doesn't like the manual foot shift on our Rancher 420. The electric shift is smooth with a very easy learning curve to get up go. The electric power steering (EPS) is smooth and allows for easy turning. However, the turning radius is slightly limited compared to the Rancher 420. Everything on this ATV is stock as upgrading tires seems to be an unnecessary expenditure for our off grid use. Pretty much all our main tools and toys are Honda, this is due to our experience in this brand being dependable and durable. SO far, so good!
We also have a 2016 Honda Rancher 420 which we started off with once we purchased our property. This was actually lent to us by my close friend who wasn't using it at the time and knew it would be put to good use on our 100 acres. Not to mention how many times it saved a crap ton of work manually. I will do a similar review on this model in the future. If you liked this video, please Subscribe for future update review videos!

I believe the rancher is a much better machine, just me. I like the 420 over the 520. The 520 is just a bored out 420, plus the axles, drive shafts , frame are all the same size.

Rancher doesn't have diff lock though right or 3rd headlight right? Two things I like better, plus I prefer the styling of the Foreman over the Rancher. I've had both. Does the Rancher Auto DCT have 5 gears like the Rubicon DCT?

I still prefer my 520 to drive and overall comfort, but that darn steering radius on the 420 is so much better. Wonder why since you stated the driveshafts and axels are the same. Mind you, my 520 is a 2022 and the rancher is a 2016. 🤷‍♂️

The diff lock and third light are amazing upgrades no doubt. I believe all models do have the 5th gear.

The new Hondas 520 or under can't even hit 50 mph..thats just a little slow for me..i like to be able to cruise at 40 without the engine screaming
