The ultra in my shop was a little under poundage and the draw was a little short, yours may be as well. I averaged 323 at true 29.5/70. It's probably still a little slow but not 17fps

I would love to see the difference FMJJ gets outdoors on a sunny day with his chronograph vs in his shop. Lighting affects these things greatly. He seems to get slower speeds than other reviewers.

How does lighting affect it?
@98blower17
@98blower17 Жыл бұрын
@@HuntEthicaldo you not realize that almost all chronos have lighting setup on them? They use reflection of artificial lighting to measure the speed... They can be manipulated so bad indoors, and seem to have more accurate readings outside. No 2 chronographs will read the same for the most part. With that being said him keeping his in the same spot using the same lighting effects you can compare bows with each other.

Would the fact it’s long on the axel to axel mean that if you twisted the main string up to bring it into speck you might get more juice/speed out of it? And is that what you would recommend doing to bring a bow that’s out like that back in?

I am assuming you were shooting the #3 cam in the 30" draw position. No way that the #2 cam maxed out in draw would be that slow. I can 100% believe the #3 cam at 30" being that slow.

@@TORREX-A.D. your correct ibo is NOT 70 pounds and 30 inches of draw length. Which is why he is not getting the speeds he thinks he should be getting. Ibo is 5 grains per inch up to 80lbs with a 2 pound variance and here’s the kicker “no specified draw length” this is why they can advertise these speeds. Technically speaking it is perfectly acceptable for IBO speed to be tested with a 400 grain arrow at 82 pounds at 32 inches of draw length. Or 31. Or 34. Or whatever length they choose to test from. ATA speeds are 70 30 and 350 grains. With a 0.2lb variance. And draw length of + 1/4. So 350 grains 70.2 lbs and 30.25 inches of draw is the max they can test under. Hoyt does list ATA speeds rather than ibo though.

@@TORREX-A.D. Don't listen to Jared. IBO is a 400 grain arrow, 80#(+/-2#), no specific draw length. If you don't believe me, it can be searched. This is how Manufactures inflate the numbers.

Unbelievable mess about getting what I need in the uk but im curious do you think this may not work? I mean it's still a hbx pro cam and I cant see any discrepancies between the rx7 and the rx7 ultra when trying to just buy a separate module. This should work right? Good review and fan of channel but idk what he’s been doing but his numbers are low. I’ve seen the rx7 ultra shoot a 408gr at 328 at 80# and I’ve seen multiple 70# setups get close to listed IBO rating. One big factor could be he stated it was out of spec at 34-1/4 and assuming he didn’t correct it or could just be his chrono. As others mentioned he’s always low compared to others and what I’ve seen in person. I will say unbiasedly that I had the V3X and the Ventum Pro and the Ventum pro feels HEAVY, so with the stock mini stabilizer he might actually be on point with the weight

Hoyt have priced their bows based on their egos i think. For me there are far better bows for far less. I could tell mfjj doesn't think much of hoyt. Alot of meh involved which i found funny. At least get your bows close to weight and IBO for $1900 hoyt. Personally id take a bowtech or mathews over this for $700 less all day.

So far the only 2022 bow review I have seen that the bow actually shoots IBO, is the new flagship bow by Bear archery. Disappointing considering these bows are selling for almost 2 Grand! WTF! My vxr shoots faster than that bow. Hoyt needs to quit lying and get their prices back down.

Have you heard about inflation? I don't think we'll be seeing lower prices unless something radically changes with the global economy.

Lol. $1900.00. Wait, let’s see if something is wrong with the set up. The speed is too slow. You have got to be kidding me. Have some of the bow companies forgot that working people have carried the archery community? I like Hoyt, but not a $1900.00 MSRP. Be certain, Hoyt is a fine company. It’s not the only one with a very expensive bow. Please pardon my sticker shock.

This year's PSE carbon bow is also $1,900. I realize people believe they are the ones who should set prices and want to determine how much a company makes off of each bow it sells, but it seems to be the industry price for a carbon bow. Carbon bicycle frames and wheels are also expensive. Hoyt has a $1,200-$1,300 bow.. and a $900 bow. As far as the speed goes, it has a 7" brace height.. so the speeds are going to be slower.. I'm looking at this bow and a Bowtech Revolt XL & Reckoning.. Will $600 matter if the bow feels significantly better than a $1,200 bow?

Even if it shoots 500 fps. I just can’t get over a 1900 dollar “carbon” bow that weighs 5 pounds. Just ridiculous. At 5 pounds what is the point of carbon.
