Today, we have the 2022 Hyundai Kona N for our night drive! Hyundai now has a variety of Hyundai N models, ranging from i20 to Kona N SUV. The 2022 Hyundai Kona N clearly has the advantage of a spacious interior with larger trunk space, being an SUV. And Kona N also handles quite nicely, although it does not have an AWD system, and still gives you plenty of grins on your face. Spare tire in the US thats great news.Would be Interesting to see the mud sand modes in action on a course. The grey one is a nice color what is that air cleaning mode just a vent or does it do something different?Hyundai please let us in the US be able to buy N performance products over the counter in the US. The Elantra has that sound piped in for different race car sounds that should of been done in this car maybe a patch in the future will change that.Thanks for keeping up with this Kona N looks nice on the inside at night.

I just got one--not only is it great--but because you can never tell the road conditions it is nice to be sitting up higher.Even the lower part of the front bumper skirt is above tall mall parking cement blockers.It can also trounce almost all the sport coupes under 40k and many that are 50k to 60k--like audi q3s that are 50k when fully loaded--or a loaded toyota 86 that they want 43k for.

I guess the weight savings is a factor but I think pulling HDA is more of a cost reduction measure to offset the N bits that are added. I’d rather an aftermarket for N conversion of the regular Elantra and Kona as sleepers. I don’t need to track the car but the suspension, exhaust and tune would be my preference. Skip the colors and badging and just enjoy the spirited driving ability. 🏎💨

That said, either the Kona or Veloster fits my bill - the Elantra is just too long like all the cars in its class. I mean, it's longer than a BMW 5 series was in the 80s, and only 4 inches shorter than my 2000 528i..

Why didn't you swipe left to show the custom N screen where u can adjust the engine, trans, steering, exhaust, dampers TC, E-LSD, etc. You have to do was swipe to the left and then everyone can see that you can have the dampers set to soft and maybe the LSD on normal while leaving everything else on the most aggressive setting. By showcasing that screen, viewers can see the difference between the Veloster n and it's spider web graph style versus how this style is as well as the comparison to the Elantra n. I give a big thumbs down to this review as you did not discuss the features that truly makes this car an N car. You didn't mention how you can set your RPMs for launch control to the exact number you like. And so many more N specific features that you completely left out, but the one that is least important and just a novelty is the one you discussed which is the stupid track menu that has four tracks. Something no one will ever use, yet you completely skipped the screen with all the different customization just like an M car has that's triple the price. SMH terrible review

I don't know, I find that both the Kona N and Elantra N are kind of ugly. The Kona N's painted cladding and double front grill + mustache looks off to me. The Elantra N has weird unpainted pieces around the grill that makes the grill look way too big and you lose the cool diamond grill design. I think the Elantra N line's front end and wheels look alot nicer than the Elantra N while I find that I like the look of the regular Kona over the Kona N line and Kona N. I really don't know what Hyundai's design department is doing making the high performance versions of the car look worse than the lower performance versions. With the new price increases for N cars in the US, the value proposition isn't there anymore. I'd probably choose an Elantra N-line over all of these but I wish there was an Elantra N-line hatchback.

Mark up on the Veloster N shouldn’t have you cross shopping a Golf R. I know they sell almost as soon as they hit the lot. But cmon. At $34,000 the car shouldn’t be setting you back closer to $50,000 because of “rarity”
