Great speech. I was able to congratulate Marcus at Portland and Leguna Seca. The guy still seems quite, not praised or talked about enough. Hopefully Indy has his T-shirts and jersey's ready for next year. I hope people don't forget about his 500 win because he ran a great race. Now if he wins a 2nd 500 I think people will perk up and give him a lot more credit. Marcus is super gracious, I hope he wins a lot more races. He might be overshadowed by Dixon and Palou but that might be to his benefit where other drivers will overlook him. Well done Marcus.

You gotta be joking, there's potential winners that crash/make mistakes and get penalized every year, in EVERY race. It happens all the time and it's a part of racing. If Scott Dixon for example had not fucked up and gone too fast in the pits he could have won but that was HIS mistake, his OWN downfall and no shade should fall on Ericsson. Pato didn't have a good enough car but the same thing applies there, not Ericsson's fault. This was as real as any Indy 500 race before it, he had a secure lead of a few seconds before the last caution but STILL won after the restart. You have no idea what you're talking about.
