Love the i-PACE; still the best looking EV for me, though I’d like to see it being a bit more efficient with bigger range and faster charging - and maybe Jag needs to bring in a true mk2 soon (this, for me, is mk1.5)? Now, where do I get £70k from!

Also with efficiency I would like it to be more lightweight, instead 2300kg---> 2050kg, maybe use 75kw denser batteries, smaller/lighter motors. In my opinion 320hp 600N*m 5.5 to 6.0 seconds 0-100km/h and real ~400km range would be enough. Current model has 4.8s 0-100, 400hp, 700N*m and real 350km on 90kw battery, but the car feels very heavy for me. Toyota achieved 2120kg with its bz4, and steel body and 74kw batteries

We are running the Ford Mach E in a couple of weeks. That's an interesting motor. Good spec around 55k

Sorry, mate, but the car is made under contract in Austria by Magna Steyer. It is a Brit design though, and I love mine. Let's hope the new stable of Jaguars coming in 2025 is made in the U.K.

45 minute charge is not just a click of the fingers.....it's 40 minutes more than filling with petrol/diesel. 40 minutes of your life you aren't getting back. 40 minutes extra on your journey, plus the time finding a charger somewhere near your route. And maybe waiting for the charger to be free on top of that. So, it may not be unusual for that charge time on a journey to end up adding more like 2 hours compared to filling us with gas. This is why EVs are so cheap second hand now. So many people have tried them and got rid of them.

really depends on your home situation and country you live in, in the netherlands we got a great charging infrastructure and if you have a driveway + homecharger you are good to go. if not i would not choose a EV
