2022 Jeep Sahara 4xe: Perfect Daily-Driver Wrangler!

This week I got to drive the 2022 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe!! Truth be told, I own a 4xe myself, of the the Rubicon variety. This Sahara wasn't completely different at its core, but the application was quite a variance from what I'm accustomed to.
This Sahara excelled at city driving, making it the "perfect daily driver" as far as Wranglers go. The looks are a bit too tame for my taste, but it's still a JL through and through.
I enjoyed experiencing and exploring the differences in options this Sahara had vs my Rubicon... a full comparison video is in the works! Stay tuned...

As someone who always brings a ton of drinks with me, I really appreciated the tallboy test. It really helps show the amount of storage, and where drinks actually fit. Definitely keep that around

Thank you sir! You know I haven't had the chance to do anything but sit in the new Bronco... but it's an awesome looking vehicle. Again, I can't speak on the driving experience quite yet (although I'll do my best I review one!) but, I will say the overall build quality feels inferior to the Wrangler

It's okay outside but the interior is a bit messy. Don't like the dash at all, just chunky and looks like it was mashed together with parts from different vehicles.

Nice review. I have the same exact car. 2023 4xe wrangler in the same exact color as well. I love it! You are right I’m not super interested in off roading but I am obsessed with the “Jeep experience”. But mine did not come with the blind spot indicators. Is there a reason why? Can I get this installed?

Thank you! The blind spot monitors are part of an optional safety package and probably pretty hard to install afterwards... the good news is I don't think they're very necessary with how solid visibility already is out of the wrangler !

I am surprised that Jeep doesn't offer the Sahara 4xe with 18" wheels. That would provide a better ride and better economy in EV mode.

It does! Stock for stock it's marginal, but noticeable if you pay attention. With the heavier 35's I threw on my Rubicon, it's easily noticeable 👍

good stuff, fun video. these cars are a lot of fun. i currently lease a 21 JL sahara 80th anniversary edition and couldn’t be happier. any particular reason you went with the 4xe motor? i hear they have about the worst gas mileage other than the 392 because of the battery weight. what has your experience been like?

Appreciate it man, the 80th's are clean! I went 4xe because the lease deal was significantly better than any non 4xe Rubicon! Tbh, I plug-in and try not to use any gas as often as possible... and when I do need to use the engine, yes the MPG's are the worst aside from the 392, but it's also the fastest/most powerful wrangler aside from the 392 as well!! So it's chill with me 😅👍

@@aadu318 thank you brotha! Tbh, I can't really off-road in silence in any practical sense. I'd have to throw it in e-save for the nearly hour drive to reach the trails, and then I'd be lucky to get a few off-road miles out of it. Maybe I'll make a video of that kinda like trail recon 🤔

Carplay drops constantly! Whether it’s plugged into center console or dash. Wireless carplay is even more glitchy. Any thoughts?
