The depth finally getting deeper for the man side in 200 free, Milak was the only guy from the first 6 without a new PB. I know Betlehem or Telegdy will not gonna race ever in 200 free, not even in relays, but Marton had a good time, and the 3rd and the 5th placed guys are just 18. Bona improved his pb here with 6!! seconds. Hopefully he will be in the 1:47 region by next year in long course. Marton will be faster as well and Milak obviously. And Nándi, Holló or Zombori wasnt even here. Thanks to 400 medley for two of them. And resting for Nándi (who has to recharge himself mentally) for the 100-200 free. He is a key member for the relays and had an amazing run since 2018, reaching the european finals three times, worlds twice and olympics once.

I hope Milak can get a proper chance to swim a 200 free next year in long course and pace his swim better, because the second 50 was awfully slow here… His LC 200free is also a bit like this, sprinting the first 50 and somehow going slower and slower. Really want to see a 1:44 from him.

@@kristofmilakupdates the way he starts is not problem at all, he is simply that fast, he has a decent start and great underwater. Here his second 50 was the 30 slowest. The finishing 50 was a good one as well, but that 125 meters after the first turn to 150 was a awful to say the least. For a prodigy like him totally, but even for a standard high-level swimmer. He lost at least a second on the second 50. Marton was faster then him nearly a second there.

@@ferencorosz9753 For sure he is fast in the 50m with a good start and underwater, but it's a 200m race, not a 50m or 100m and pacing is critical to win in a good time. If he tones it down a bit in the 50m and builds it up in the second and third 50 his time will definitely improve. You will need propulsion for that, either by saving in the first 50 or training harder to be quick in every round.
