Sorry to hear about the initial problems, but pleased to hear that you have it running better now. Regarding wheel bearings, typically if they are failing at low hours it's due to water ingress into the bearing, which then causes corrosion inside the bearing and premature failure. One easy mod is to remove the wheel and apply grease to the gap between the dust cover and bearing which will help seal out water. If changing the bearings consider replacing with an SKF kit which includes SKF dust seals which I think work a lot better than the OEM seals.

Hi there, thanks for the content. I couldn’t help notice the TSP sticker on your bike, why not try the Aussie TSP computer and head combination they offer? My 21 tpi had all your issues and also a failed fuel pump, after the fuel pump got sorted this kit was an awesome addition. Look it up, you might like what you see. Just a heads up, don’t do the injector relocation, it dilutes the oil and will wear out your motor sooner unless you add a lot more oil to your fuel.

I think I just came across the issues from a big KTM,... dealer that has won many, many motocross. dirtbike championships. Within 60 seconds he said he knew what the problem is because they have had many with my problem and yours with engine running. 1st is ask the dealer if Map 103 Extreme is installed on it (mine is a 2022 KTM 300 XC TPI, from the 1st shipment from Austria this year). I doubt mine has it. This is not a recall and many, most dealers will not install it they just get it started and deliver the new bike to the customer. Also dealers with a slow internet connection do not install any other ECU changes or they do not have the experience. He said this will fix it! 2nd was mentioned that for KTM to meet emissions they lowered the compression on the fuel injected bikes. So I need to install a higher compression head from TSP (Two Stroke Performance in Australia who has a distributor in Calgary, Alberta, Canada). WIth their head you send them your ECU and they remap it, send a screw with spring for the idle speed adjuster mod, and a new BPR8EIX TPI NGK Iridium Spark plug. $842 + tax CDN. $.. 3rd he mentioned about doing the injector relocating to the intake track. My dealer is checking tomorrow with the tech who looked at my bike to see what they have as History and to see if it has MAP 103 which I highly doubt. I got my bike before the other Maps where created. Map 101 was the 1st, then KTM produced MAP 102 but quickly withdrew it and produce MAP 103 Extreme which injects more oil and does other things. and fixes most if not all issues. I learned my dealer has many bikes with the poor running issue.

@@human1513 I'm 50yrs old, Yamaha had glass transmission back in my day so please.4 stroke issues the list is crazy long for Yamaha. Also everybody has a chance to ride there bike or listen to it at most dealers. We own a 21 TE250i and a 22 FX450, everyone I ride with owns a variant of some sorts. My son's Te250i ran beautiful when new, 4hrs in the CCPS went bad. I understand EPA and Emission standards so I also know why we have to do an Idle screw mod on the TPI. Kinda like when a car manufacturer tells you 0w-20 is the recommended oil vs 5w-30 in reality is what you'll be using once enough engines get destroyed. EPA and Emission agency absolutely destroy vehicles. Ask a Hellcat owner if they follow factory recommended oil lol. Mustang G3 still using 5w-20, sorry about your typewriter tick. Hell the 21 Mustang still comes with a 5w-20 oil filler cap yet the TSB Ford sent out early 2020 is telling all dealers to switch all Coyote based engine vehicles to 5w-30 as per RTR recommendation. Roush has been doing this since day one on any of their vehicles. Ford knew this was coming hence 22 Mustang lost 10hp, why ? Oil viscosity changed. Once you've been around and do the rrsearch, it's a bit easier to understand. These issues don't exist on the Carb bikes, why ? Nothing to do with quality control etc. It's sad to see people not thinking for themselves and just making blanket statements. Like Tokyo Offroad's channel made CCPS mod to eliminate the issue. It doesn't, the issue is oil vapor going into the sensor and killing it. Needs to be a canister with baffling to only allow pressure to be seen. Husqvarna used an already existing sensor from the automotive world and made it work. Yeah it's shitty but once you understand what's up. Drop a $10 R/C nitro car fuel filter in between the ceank and sensor. Boom, it now becomes a service item. No need to mod the tray, put some grease around the o-ring and your sensor will live a long and happy life.
