I have looked into Lexus, Cadillac and Genesis and they all left me wanting more. I already have a BMW X5 so I don’t want anything sporty (again). I’ve never driven a Lincoln and the moment I did it just “clicked”. you can tell that Lincoln goes for the plush lux comfort and that’s exactly what I wanted. I placed an order for a 2023 Nautilus Reserve! I’m excited!!

@@tamararene5913 ooooo!! Congrats on your home!! Well things took a turn and we didn’t get the Nautilus. It was decided that it couldn’t hurt to add another BMW to the garage…. Just picked up a BMW X3 two weeks ago 😬 Nautilus is getting discontinued and Lincoln won’t produce anymore for year 2024 and forward. They will replace it with a comparable “electrified” version with a different name plate.

And here I am thinking to consider something more economical price wise like the Palisade. Any thoughts on this car? I know it's not on the same scale luxury wise but I am considering the Calligraphy trim

@lightofthewrld777 Жыл бұрын
@@tamararene5913 I am not well informed if I’m honest in regards to the Palisade. If luxury is the right fit for your lifestyle the aftercare service you get with Lincoln is amazing, they have concierge for their customer and lifetime roadside (when buying new). BMW has similar benefits but Lincoln slightly outweigh the aftercare service.

Again really enjoyed and appreciated the review! I'm still waiting to hear an update on my '22 build and sadly saw the ford authority article stating that this and the edge will be discontinued after 2023MY which, if true, totally stinks. I know that you don't want to run a new car/engine hard but would be cool to see your driving impressions/thoughts when putting the 2.7L through its paces in this vehicle!
@CarsWithSteve
@CarsWithSteve 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jordan! I just read that article as well. Figured that it was probably going to hit the chopping block but I'm still holding out hope that Ford will shift production to another country short term - or blow everyone away with a new EV built out of the Oakville assembly plant. I should be able to get behind the wheel of a 2.7 in the next few weeks so should have that review out sometime in March!

Thank you for this excellent review. Very thorough and EXACTLY what I needed to see. I own a 2019 and really love it. I had planned on getting a 2022 because of the interior changes, but decided to look at products from Lexus, Infiniti and Genesis and maybe change it up. After a lot of research and test driving, i'm right back where I started. I'm sticking with Lincoln. When it comes to technology and ride comfort, I find the Lincoln a much better value. The only downside I find is it feels big at times, but i'm used to it now.

@@CarsWithSteve I absolutely love it! It's an amazing vehicle to drive. Very smooth response when you hit the gas. It looks awesome when the sun hits the black metallic, and I get nice comments on it. It's a comfortable car to drive during a Canadian Winter, and it really shines on the highway. And so much tech! I particularly like the self parking, massaging seats and the surround stereo is awesome. The gas mileage isn't bad either, all things considered. I can't wait to factory order my new one this Spring.

Thank you for this thorough and useful review! My new leased Nautilus 2.0 L Reserve should arrive in a month. I'm excited but at the same time concerned if I'll find it disappointing to driv. I currently have a BMW X1 , and I was about to switch to an X3 but last minute I changed my mind and went with Lincoln. Many reviews are not giving any good points to Nautilus when it comes to performance and enjoyable driving (especially the V4 engine). And all comparison reviews I've seen are not ranking Nautilus amongst the top 20 SUVs. BMW, Lexus, Cadillac, Genesis etc.. are all ranked higher. Should I go back to the X3 !?
@CarsWithSteve
@CarsWithSteve 2 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it Omar! The 2.0 is an inline 4 and is also more powerful than the X1 engine. The 2.0L in the Nautilus has 250hp / 280lb-ft torque vs 228hp / 258lb-ft in the X1 The Nautilus has the tech laid out differently than the X1 but you may love the piano shifter keys vs the standard shifter in the BMW. I’ve found the seats comfortable every time I’m behind the wheel of the Lincoln but I also haven’t reviewed BMW for this channel yet

I think you should stick with the Lincoln. Of course, I'm biased (see my comment above). I have the Nautilus 2.0 Reserve and it's plenty powerful. In addition, the Nautilus interior is far nicer than the BMW X1 in style and luxury. I've seen those "comparison reviews" and I honestly don't get it. This is the best car I've ever owned.

So I just picked up this same 2022, looks exactly like this one, but with the Reserve II package. The Fog Lights come with the Ultimate Package, and I like them a lot. So WHY doesn't the Charging Pad work with Android phones???? I really like this vehicle. And the 22-Way seats are GOLD!!!!! The 2.7 V6 is also worth the extra cash getting 335 HP. So far so good. Just not happy about that Charging Pad issue!!!! 😁
@CarsWithSteve
@CarsWithSteve 2 жыл бұрын
Glad that you're enjoying yours! Haha the 2.7L and 22 way seats are great, thanks for the owner feedback there! Interesting about the wireless charging.. I have a Samsung S9+ that I use for video demos and it always works on that one. Could be the wattage draw of your phone. Curious... is there an iPhone you have that you can try it on to see if that works? If it's not working on an iPhone or another Android either there are a few things it could be 1. Wiring issue 2. Vehicle was shipped without that module because of the chip shortage Test out another phone and it there's no power draw schedule it in for warranty servicing
@brianbarriger8553
@brianbarriger8553 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Steve!!!! The wireless charging pad does work with iPhone, as my salesperson put her phone on it, and it began charging hers right away. Doesn't like my Samsung though. And everything that she has seen with Androids results in the same non-charging issue. I have also tried to research the Lincoln sites and general KZbin sites looking for answers, and everything I find seems to play up the Apple benefits, and avoid talking about about Android charging benefits. I can't imagine that Ford or Lincoln would just choose only 1 system for charging, but so far, that appears to be the case. Other than that, the Nautilus is really a solid vehicle and we are quite happy with it. Appreciate you great review!!!! Brian

Oh yes, and it took almost exactly 5 months to get, from date of order to delivery to the Dealership. So worth the wait, but that really a long time to wait, especially when you have a Lease expiring, and then you have to extend the Lease terms, but get clipped on the extra miles, which I was already over. OUCH!!!!
@CarsWithSteve

Do you still recommend buying a new 2022 model after knowing they will be soon discontinued? I am deciding between the Nautilus and a BMW X3
@CarsWithSteve
@CarsWithSteve 2 жыл бұрын
That's an interesting question. A lot of the components of the Nautilus drivetrain/powertrain can be found on other Lincoln or Ford vehicles so there shouldn't be issues in the immediate future for part availability. Lincoln hasn't announced a replacement at the Oakville plant yet either. The base X3 will have similar power and price point to the 2.0L Nautilus but the X3 M or competition has better performance than the 2.7L Nautilus will offer. BMW typically costs more to maintain though so it depends on what you want out of a vehicle, preferred style and your budget

Trunk height measurement is actually only 29" at the entry lip... oof! That's very important for those of us who transport pinball machines. :) 31" and up is the safe zone. Points off for not having a flat load floor as well. Nevertheless, it's a nice car. Like it.

It's still showing as an available option in the order guide. The configurator is weird sometimes on the .com and .ca website.. You'd need to select the 201a option (Reserve) for it to show and even then it doesn't always refresh to show the option online. When you find a Lincoln dealer have them add option code 91Q to your factory order!
