Just wanted to share a story about this rollercoaster. It came out when I was 13, my dad told me we were going to Cedar Point to ride this rollercoaster. I had never rode a rollercoaster before and my first rollercoaster was going to be (at that time) the biggest and fastest steel rollercoaster in the world. I was terrified but I really looked up to my dad and didn't want to let him down. I couldn't sleep the night before, I think I finally fell asleep around 4 am. Since the ride just came out the line wait was ridiculous about 3 1/2 hours. When it was our turn to go on I ran to the exit my dad said it was okay and went on by himself. When he got off the ride I cried so disappointed in myself and I told him I really wanted to go on it. So he waited with me for 3 hours again. It was amazing and by that point the park was getting ready to close and there was no more line so the operators let us go 4 times in a row. By the last 2 times I started to put my arms up because I was so comfortable. Anyway this will always be one of the best memories of my life.

We have almost the same exact story except it was with the millennium force and it was in 2002 when i was 12 but i sissy'd out in the summer and went back in october. It was lightly raining and chilly so i got on 17 times in a row after that first ride. After it was over we were walking out past the half built dragster and said "cant wait to ride that one next year" not fully knowing what it was going to be exactly lol

I rode this in the early 90s. Three things I remembered: That first climb takes forever, the view is worth it and those tunnels design is so basic but so effective. Flying out of your seat without warning in the dark is always a good scare. 👍🏻

My favorite part is the noise the lift hill makes. The first time I rode it, the sounds were made in such a perfect way that it made an epic beat. Arrow does a great job with making what I call “musical” lift hills. With the chain clicking and the occasional sound of the anti-slip safety lock clacking into the grooves on the track, this is a banger.

My phone flew out of my back pocket on this coaster around the 2:30 mark 😅I remember the park employee at the end of the day telling me I was so lucky it survived the fall. We had to wait till the park closed to get it back. Definitely one of the most memorable coasters I’ve ridden!

Magnum has always been one of my favorites, but this past October, I got a trimless ride. It was one of the most insane roller coaster experiences I’ve ever had and it vaulted Magnum into my top 10 out of the 141 coasters I’ve ridden. It’s IMO the second best ride at Cedar Point only behind Steel Vengeance. Still amazing after almost 35 years!

My friend and I refused to ride it for the longest time just because we remembered how "painful" it was... Well we decided to ride it after not riding for 5+ years and we both fell in love with it. We both have come to enjoy it's roughness, something that doesn't come with these new RMC hybrids and B&M coasters. What a great ride, one I will never ignore again.

It’s the best coaster I’ve ever been on. The hype around this thing (I live in Ohio) was insane . This was way before the internet and the stories and fantasies my friends and I had at the time on what this coaster would be was magical. As a 10 year old kid 200 feet might as well been in the stratosphere. It’s got the most epic view of any coaster. That first drop is still to this day second to none (especially in the back) . That drop isn’t the tallest but it feels the longest at 60 degrees and feeling the friction more . If u are looking for the most butterflies in the stomach on first drops it’s the best one at cedar point . They better never tear it down

I remember when this coaster first opened up my cousin ,myself and some other friends was one of the first people in line on opening season and day back in 1989 when it opened up in May 6th it was awesome and amazing and that's been over 30 years ago and it's still one of the best coasters outthere at cedarpoint

I was a teenager when this thing was built. I have honestly never been a big fan of coasters (especially big ones like this) but I wanted to ride it anyway. And so did everyone else. The lines were always long and I think I felt like my feet were going to grow roots standing in that line. The memory I'll always have of this was when I was going up that first hill and thinking "What have I gotten myself into?"

Took my 13 year old here for the first time about a month ago. His first coaster was Blue Streak and the second one was Magnum. The last two times I was able to go before that was the year Top Thrill was built and got to ride it and the year Gatekeeper was brand new. Kiddo is now a coaster junkie as we rode Magnum, Raptor, Iron Dragon, and Gemini all 8 times each. The park was really empty the day we went but needless to say, we will be back again soon.

It happens if a hold up in the station occurs and the 2nd train stacks behind it, which causes the 3rd train to stop abruptly on the brake run outside the last tunnel.

Remember the Magnum gate plaza when Challenge Park was here? I really miss it as well as Skyscraper. I’m so mad they removed it all to make improvements to the waterpark. I wish it all stayed the way it was originally.

@@DannytheTourist Skyscraper was a flat ride that looked like a giant propeller. Riders would be boarded on both ends of it and it would just spin. Then riders would stop at the top for about 5 minutes or so enjoying the view and then do it all again backwards. I absolutely loved it and really wish they kept it.

My sister and I rode this yesterday before we traveled back home. I accidentally got my right ring finger squished when those lap bars on that ride tightened up, but I was able to gently get my finger out of it, and it is healing now and it looks okay.😊 I'm kinda glad those lap bars on Magnum tightened up, though. Otherwise, I would've fallen out of the car on that first drop! I had NO IDEA they would tighten up like that when I had accidentally got my finger squished in between the belt and lap bar. I wasn't expecting that. It was pretty intense btw.

I'm 13 and currently camping at cedar point campground. I got an early admission pass and this coaster is open early. This is my second time at cedar point last year I just rode the raptor. I have motion sickness and I'm going to ride it tomorrow morning. Any tips on how to not throw up/pass out (besides closing your eyes). Edit: I did it, and I loved it. I went around and did a lot of other coasters. It was the best day of my life

Of all the lift hills, this one f***s with me the most, the track looks thin like a skinny tie. Coolest coaster trains in the park though, I always felt like I was on the Star Wars getting on (minus the dorky Star Wars fanatics who cramp the film franchise, lol) Great ride, I wish there were more padding on the legs for the airtime hills. I'm a Star Wars fan too. Have you tried Star Tours in Florida?? I did it when I was 13. It was awesome. People say Superman at SFNE is rough too, and I kinda agree with them, but it wasn't too bad. I sit in the front on every coaster I ride so there's no way I'll sit in a wheel seat.
