2022 Mahindra Scorpio-N Diesel Variants Explained | Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8, Z8L | MT, AT, 4WD | Oct

October 2022: V3Cars analyses which variant of the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio-N diesel makes the most sense for buyers in terms of the value it offers for the money you pay. Scorpio-N is available with two diesel engine options. Both are 2.2L and turbocharged but with different power and torque outputs. The base diesel engine makes 132PS of power at 3750rpm and 300Nm of torque between 1500 and 3000rpm. This engine is only available with a 6-speed manual transmission. The higher-spec engine makes 175PS power at 3500rpm. It makes 370Nm of torque between 1500 and 3000rpm with the 6-speed manual transmission and 400Nm of torque between 1750 and 2750rpm with the 6-speed torque converter automatic.
Scorpio-N base variant with a diesel engine costs Rs. 12.49 lakh and its top diesel-automatic 4WD variant costs Rs. 23.90 lakh (both prices ex-showroom Delhi). Prices for the Scorpio-N 4-wheel drive and automatic are now available.

Right now each manufacturer is giving below par VFM base and 2nd base variants. Most of the basic features are missing and the price gap is also huge. So it is indirectly forcing buyers to buy higher costlier variants to get more VFM package. And most sad part is indian company are doing the same. We have really high hopes from TATA and Mahindra.

Just go through varient explain video of Nexon, Punch, XUV 300 and then make your own decision. Not giving remote central lock and all power window in a 8 lack car is definitely not good thing.
