I really wanted a backhoe but my budget didn’t allow for it. We built a house last year for my br and sis in-law on our property and we dug all the footers by hand and all I could think is just how much backbreaking work could have been avoided if I would have just gotten a backhoe… lol. Thank you for the comment!

I bought it for $2500 on Facebook marketplace (2021 model so at that time it was less than a year old). A couple of years ago they were selling new for $2,000-$2,500, but since the pandemic dealers around me jacked up the prices to $4,000-$5,000.

Question about power. I'll looking at the same tractor or the 35hp. I'll be using it 80%for the front loader for grapple, bucket, and pallet forks. Then box blade and 5 for brush hog. I know 25hp will be more reliable in the long run but wonder if I'll be happy with the power for box blading and brush hogging with a hydrostatic. What do u think about yours

Great question. It works fine for me but I live in Florida basically at sea level, extremely flat and soil here is very sandy and easy to work. I will say even here I have ran into a few situations where the tractor would run out of power. Bellow is the link to my video where I used a FEL to dig a small pond and build a berm. This was the first project where I really felt that 25hp limited me because the grade that you see in the pond is about the limit of what that tractor can climb with a load in FEL. At the end I ended up not being able to dig it as deep as I wanted to because the tractor couldn’t go in and out of it specially once I hit clay bottom and the moisture from nearby creek started sipping in and creating a muddy mess. Do you live at sea level? Is it relatively flat? kzbin.info/www/bejne/al6rmmCZob-jkM0

Was that in medium or low range Edit* i live in west Virginia at an altitude of 1200 feet and mix of flat and very much not flat

@@michaelaxtell592 Low range. I do think that this tractor was the right tractor for me. I just wanted to make sure you knew there are limitations. As far as 5ft bush hog I do have one and used it on a couple jobs. It has no trouble powering it even through really thick stuff in medium range with small slopes here and there. I do not have a box blade so can’t help you there.

That helps a lot. I think 35 might be the better way to go for me. Between box blading and the hills i deal with i may need the extra power. I hoped to be able to get by with a 25 but doesn't look hopeful

Do you have a brush hog And if you do what size do you recommend for a tractor that size

I have a 5ft brush hog. It handles it comfortably even in thick dense North Florida brush. Dealer strongly advised against getting anything bigger. The tractor is definitely heavy enough to carry a 6ft and I think it could power through most light brush with 6ft brush hog but the HP will likely limit you in thicker stuff.

Not trying to be mean, but at 4:37 was pretty close to having a really bad day for the operator.

Lol I just replayed the video and I totally see what you are saying. My wife set the phone on the ground a little crooked so it looked way worse than it really was. I will agree with you that it was not the best use of the tractor bucket but I do not have pallet forks so I had to improvise to get the job done. Thank you for your comment!
