Same for me here in Ontario, California so far. Hopefully they'll be released soon unlike the Strike n Roar Giga. Mattel really dropped the ball there.

The short tail could actually end up being a positive if Mattel ever releases a full size Legacy or Hammond version of the Ampelosaurus.Then these small versions with the short tail ( and short necks) would actually work amazing as Juvenile versions next to the large ones , when creating a herd or family. I took advantage of all the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales going on to buy 2 of each of all Mattel's best and largest Sauropods so I can make a large herd to display. Going to be epic.

The action features are great, what killed the model for me is the mouth doesn't stay closed by default, it just hangs open. Its just not natural. The action should be reversed, it should open when you press the button. Also this could definitely use a touch up if you want it to look more realistic, the scutes should be bone colored or all consistent. But that can be fixed pretty easily with a paint marker.

I would be ok if the tail was longer and not sure how I feel with the head. I thought it was too blocky but they took the liberty of giving it a crest like structure I think. Neck is a little thick. Cool looking figure though even so. It’s not made as an accurate model so I’m not dissing it too much.

To be honest 😑, for me, i NEVER have problem about this figure at all 😑, because i know the figure like Ampelosaurus was a TOY, NOT a MODEL ☹️. Just about the short tail is NOT a really big issue at all 😑. You buy this figure because Ampelosaurus was a obscure species, right 🤔? So enjoy this figure for fun 😊.

I agree with the tail issue. I'd definitely pick this up because I don't own any sauropods but the tail kills me and the leg proportions are a little bit off to me.

Funny you mention it because I don't mind the tail I mean don't get me wrong it's incredibly short but at the very least it's a quadruped so it don't affect the animal's functional look as a whole HOWEVER THERES ALWAYS AN EXEPTION. THE ALLOSAURUS!!!! That figure looks absolutely ridiculous with its tiny tail and the worst part is that it's a biped HOW THE HELL DOES IT BALENCE?!?!?!! God that pissed me off, the amplosaurus is nowhere near as stupid..
