These 2 models have got different target groups. The CLA (I've got the 250e) is an expensive, design oriented entry-level Mercedes with its Slogan "Forever Young". I love it! Maybe will get a C Class in its upgraded version in future, but unti then I'll keep enjoying my White Beauty 🥰

Currently have a 250e CLA and it’s a very nice car but the interior of the C class is way better as well as the tech, comfort and driving dynamics engine etc etc etc. and so it should be it’s a good 10k more. The CLA is a nice looking car in particular, the rear in particular is far more attractive that the C or any other Merc car bar the CLS, it’s but just not as comfy or suitable for 4 adults. Tbh they don’t look miles apart from the front. Have had my CLA for about 18 months but just replacing it for a new C class in the next few weeks. A 300e. I have enjoyed my CLA and sad to see it go, but driving longer and more often now and do feel long trips a lot more than I ever did in my E classes. So C class is a bit of a compromise for me between the 2. Mind you with the new C now not sure why you would think about the E the extra money doesn’t seem to get you anything than more leg room in the back and a bigger boot. I spend more time sat in the car than looking at it so opted for the comfort and better car for longer journeys.. will miss my CLA but wanted the comfort and extra electric range over the CLA looks in the end. Tbh both are quality choices and just depends on what you need the car for. If I was doing Lower mileage I think I would have stuck with the CLA.

How was your experience with the CLA 250e, in reviews people often complain about the small 1,3L engine. Was it fun to drive also in Sport mode? I currently drive a CLA 220 and have to get a new car, I'm having trouble deciding between CLA 250e, CLA 220 4Matic and C300e. With my CLA 220 im super happy right now, the 2L engine with 190HP was more than enough to have fun with it - Im curious if I would miss that in the 250e.

I don't like A classes till 200 drivetrain at all. It's Renault and there's a shock when you start driving. So the C class will drive a lot better for sure. Front/rear wheeldrive also is a big difference. As a BMW lover, I say the C class has the most beautiful interrior of all.

That’s not my experience… the CLA200 drives great. I’ve had about a dozen Mercedes over the years, a class, b class, c class, and several e classes. The idea that the “real” Merc engine is better and in some way perfect is ridiculous. On my last e class, I spent about £3000 trying to fix a coolant leak, even the Merc garage had a few attempts at fixing it and couldn’t… anyway, the CLA200 is a dream to drive, it’s fast when you want it to be and extremely economical too, more fuel efficient than my previous b class 180 which I thought was great on fuel.

The important difference is the ideology. The CLA represents a very positive outlook, freedom, and style. The C Class may look very similar but the ideology is different; the C Class is a car that will get you from A to B. I like the coupe feel and the CLA ideology. It’s not just about getting from A to B for me, I want to enjoy getting there in style, and nobody who buys a coupe gives a shit about the guy in the back having to bow his head a little… Great review though.

Everyone has different perception, but in the end C Class is larger, more quiet inside and feels more like a grown up vehicle while CLA feels closer to the A Class, more playful and go kart like experience

You will only buy or lease a CLA because you can't afford a C class. This comparison is not equal. Only exterior is a personal taste but of you really want to drive a real Benz motor than you will choose the C class. No doubt about the interior taste of most of the people will take the C class.

Not really. In the U.S, CLA250 starts at $38k and the C300 starts at $42k. The difference is practically negligible. I’m picking the CLA because it’s sportier

Even though this is 2022 I prefer my 2017 cla250 over the c300 not to mention my 2017 has a better reliability rating compared to the c class in the same year, and I only paid $20000 for a 2017 little under 40k miles, only upgrades I did was debadge and left the Benz logo for a cleaner look and 20 inch chrome maybach rims from Benz and the GTR grill and led interior lights I love it for what it is and don’t feel bad about it it’s still a Benz and a head turner for a “2017”

Comparing this two, CLA wins by far. Why ? because Buttons! if you compare the cars in their segement the cla just wins always exterior and interior are just better then the new C-Class. dont have the love glasses on just because the new c class is "New". A / Cla will follow this design like every other model thats to come so it will be both bad soon or later.
