Its really great that MG is providing Michelin primacy 3st as stock tyres. Even for Astor they have provided Continental UC6 tyres.

Just an update, It is confirmed. They have no plans for any ADAS for zs ev. The front radar cover seen in the bottom part of bumper in the first batch of 2022 Zs Ev is not there anymore on the new car. It’s just plastic grill. I think the regen on level 3 is now between (-19 and -21 in power percentage meter). Regen pull is quite evident now. Maybe they have updated it. Not sure. Also the tyres are now continental ultra contact UC6 now instead of Michelins. Also the area behind IRVM is completely blacked out when seen from outside, i guess lane keep assist is gone as well. All points based on December 2022 model Zs EV

Just few general queries about EVs..... 1. Say we are charging the ev at a charging station. While waiting, if we sit inside with AC and infotainment system on, then how much time delay will be there to charge to say 80% since most EVs charge faster to 80% faster? 2. Assume we are on a long night trip and we decide to park the car safely and take a nap in the car for may be an hour or two. If we let the ac on and sleep inside, how much battery will be discharged in an hour? 3. What's the minimum cutoff charge % for the EVs after which car won't start at all?

Looks like MG is one of the few manufacturers who really listens to customer inputs, ZS facelift is a brilliant package overall, but that toothless grill looks ugly especially in milder colours and frankly full fledged ADAS is an overkill in India right now.

Thank You for this amazing video. For the price, the exclusive model is not a good/smart buy. Especially when it’s missing the following :- -Ventilated seats -Top notch speakers (8 speakers) with sub woofer -Seats with memory functions -Delayed touch screen (camera quality is not that much of an issue) -Second row leg space (A big bummer) & unfortunately Hyundai Kona as well face the same issue. But - the *excite* variant is a good deal and majority of the booking would be for that model. Best, Anoop Kumarakom/Cayman Islands

Technology, I agree. I am not convinced yet about the “green” claims yet. Sourcing materials for batteries, power generation sources for the grid etc. Said that, fossil fuel is by no means green. I am willing to be converted 😀

@@bijofrancis7063 You may check the "Cumulative Lifetime Carbon Footprint" of EVs. This includes emissions during mining, manufacture, run and final disposal/ recycle. There is a EU study comparing a Nissan Leaf with a comparable ICE, over 12 years and 1.5 lakh km run. EVs have higher pollution than ICE during manufacture. Yet, EV' s cumulative carbon footprint is less than 50% of ICE.

@Zidane Faisal K, EU uses WLTP, which is more to real world, than ARAI of India or MIIT of China. Also , I think EU test speed is benchmarked for 62mph ( 100 kmph) in contrast to 62 kmph of ARAI. Driving speed, over the benchmarked test speed, is the most pertinent factor for reduced range in EV. Though not linear, it can knock off about 1% for every kmph u go over the test speed.

The previous version with the front grille looks more appealing. Without front grille, it looks plain and boring.. mg kept the charging port at front, which affected the looks even more with the cutout for it.. Provide some sort of fake grille that doesn't affect aerodynamics

Onroad price for MG astor topend version is 21 lakhs and MG zs Ev is 29 lakhs.. so if we consider economically, it’s better if we take a petrol vehicle and fill up petrol as fuel for the 8 lakh difference.. right? Like that, its better to get a 70 lakhs GLC and fill up DIESEL as fuel for 10 lakhs rather than getting EQC for 1.2 cr.. right? Does this situation exist only in India or is this the situation for electric cars all over the world?

Yes . 8 lakhs is still a premium but considering tigor ev which is almost 5.5L pricier than its ice counterpart.. it's just a fractional increase considering the segment of the two cars... Also the petrol rates are gonna hit higher highs(almost 115 reached in my area) so having an average of 150rs per litre for the future years(which is astronomically lower) the ev will setoff at around 75k km .. and also imagine of the tax savings and lesser maintenance charges.. we can offset it much before 75k and still run free.. Sure it's too early but then again a person with an average daily travel of 100km will surely be profitable from this..

I personally don't like regen on accelerator pedal. You are constantly doing gymnastics with your feet to maintain a set speed. I prefer to coast when accelerator pedal is released and use regen while braking. This feels more natural especially at higher speeds.

Doesn't coasting also involve gymnastics on pedal, by lifting ur foot ? How does maintaining a constant speed make regen ?One pedal driving significantly reduces the wear and tear of brake pads. There are EVs which hv clocked 1 lakhs km with original brake pads.

Could you please help me with a decision making? I am looking for a second car - sub 4 meter, automatic, below 12 lakh on road with good mileage for city use. I have an Ertiga Zxi for long drive. What would you suggest? I would have gone for Glanza blindly, if there was a CVT version. Should I wait for Citreon C3? I do not want to look at Magnite, as they didnt get me a test drive car despite multiple calls and a showroom visit. Not convinced about the resale value of Kiger.
