4 of those engines and the engineering to support that. That ain't cheap. Probably has a stabilizer too. That's 100k+ just for that. But yeah, corporate profits in all industries is thru the roof. It's crazy.

That barbeque setup is a deal breaker to me, look at how poorly accessibility to the grill is do you have to lean over the cover from the transim or just kneel on the seats to reach terrible setup at $3 mil no way....

While the features of this boat are very cool, no way is it a $3m yacht. Not to mention it's ugly. I much prefer the pre-hardtop SS and PC models. I had a 272 SR-1 for years, and my dream boat was a 400SS when it came out. Even if it were within my means, this boat wouldn't get a second glance from me.

Sweet boat. Formula does make nice boats. Aside from the speed factor, you could get a Cantius 54 for 1/2 the price and a 1/4 of the fuel burn.

@@nerradnewo6328 Hmmm. No. As I noted, it’s a nice boat and good boat builder. Just an interesting comparison. For ~most~ not all~ people fuel burn is a consideration. At 3,500 rpm, 31 mph 86 gph..$500+ per hour At 5,000 rpm, 50mph 117.5 gph $700+/hr That’s a thirsty gal. 😆 All good if it fits your wallet!

@Fishkeg $5-6/gallon of diesel on the water was about right 10 months ago. That boat will burn 150/200gph of gasoline. Thirsty fella. Depending how you run it of course. All the power to ya if you can afford it, no qualms there. Expensive day boat though… just my opinion. 😁

@Fishkeg Sure they work, even forgetting fuel price differences…and gas is more costly than diesel. This boat at 55mph is 131 gph, 60mph is 159 gph. Ranges from .42 to .33 n mpg. Pushing a 50’ boat to those speeds takes big power for sure, you need some smooth conditions to run that fast too, or beat up your crew going fast. 🤣 A nice Florida or similar area boat I would guess. Every boater has their likes, makes it fun for all. This one is a beauty for its intended use. I boated on Lake Michigan for 18+ years. Going 45 mph will beat you up bad on most days. 😅 Boat safe. Have fun!

@@Big-Show1 Some years ago I became fascinated by the charter boat business out of Ft. Lauderdale and tried to get funding for a 64' catamaran with twin 2200hp diesels and jet drives(for shallow water cruising like in the Bahamas). Didn't work out. 😭
