The PhEV is the one to review. If it checks out then all other versions are say so. Electric versions are the way of the near future…..obviously👍

You guys do fabulous reviews with some great Aussie banter! We're very excited waiting for our new 2024 Outlander Aspire to be delivered. We were ready to go with an LS Black Edition because of those heated hybrid fake leather suede seats but we got a good deal on the Aspire with tow bar, nudge bar and proper tinted widows. For an extra $3000 above the LS you get a lot for features so it was a no brainier to spend the extra on the Aspire. Keep up the good work boys.

This is a Nissan/Renault with different sheet metal, not a good combination, thePHEV which is not readily available for a couple of years is interesting however

Hey guys, thanks for your reviews very informative! One ask though, may seem strange but could you include a comment on ability of getting in and out of the cars. We are a couple of seniors and my wife has trouble getting in and out of our jeep grand cherokee as it is too high for her without using grab handles. Conversely some cars are too low to get out of without trouble. Just a thought. Thanks 👍

Loved the ZJ to ZL but not offering it in a manual or normal automatic transmission is an insult to customers. Why are all manufacturers so obsessed with CVTs? Nobody likes them

Hi @ajlongworth69 - both the Sportage and the Outlander have the same unbraked towing capacity of 750kg but the downball weight on the Sportage is a bit less than the Outlander (100kg vs 160kg), so your choice might depend on the kind of trailer / boat combination you've got?. I think you should also consider the different torque and transmissions too - both the petrol and Turbo Diesel in the Sportage have an automatic transmission which might be better suited to towing, rather than the Outlander's CVT transmission, but the torque in the Outlander (petrol) is 245Nm @ 3600rpm vs 192Nm @ 4500rpm (it's a bit higher in the rev range) in the 2.0L petrol Sportage. If you're coming from a Ranger then you're used to diesel right? We'd probably suggest for towing, the Sportage Turbo Diesel is the way to go - especially as it comes with AWD as standard, so putting a boat down a slippery boat ramp might be easier to control? Anyway, thanks for reaching out and hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
