I have the exact same 18' trailer with dove tail. It is a 2020 My ramp are split into two so I have the support in the center of the ramps also my spare tire Is mounted on the front passenger side of the trailer. My jack ( Square tubing ) is mounted near the front railing closest to the decking. The thing that is different on yours than mine is the width of the trailer. I like my trailer from PJ Manufacturer from Texas. I also have a 22' PJ Trailer 2021 that I really never used and now I am selling it. I enjoy all your videos thank you very much for all the information you give us.

I do like the P.J. trailers. They are very well built. I am not sure why they would weld the spare tire bracket, And why would they not offset it? I wanted to add a toolbox to mine as well, But they welded my jack in the center of the front plate. It drives me nuts. It qould be nice to be able to store chains and binders with the trailer.

Yeah I'm going to see if I can have someone fabricate a low-profile toolbox with a lid that doesn't interfere with the spare tire. Definitely not happy about the welded mount but there's not much I can do about it now. I've just been keeping my chains and binders in a crate in the bed of my truck.

I really like your trailer. I especially like the the loading ramp, those are hard to find. I do not like the individual ones that slide out. I am guessing this ramp is spring assist. Very nice trailer, I would like to have the exact one only 20'. Great video, thanks for sharing.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! Yes, the ramp is spring assisted and well-worth the extra cost. If you're interested, this trailer is actually for sale now that I have upgraded to a gooseneck (I ended up needing something to haul two farm tractors with and didn't want to beat the PJ up doing it).

@@MichaelTJD60 Oh man, I wish you were closer. I am interested in getting one but I have to save up for a bit. I just paid my truck off and should be able to pull the trigger in 6 months or so. It is hard where i am to find a good dealer. I am sure it will not be in stock and i will have to order it when i am ready. If it was 6 months from now i might consider yours. Man. Wish my dad knew about that oil trick when he got his Moritz ULB18 equipment trailer. Nearly every piece of wood on the deck needs to be replaced. Other than needing the wood and wiring replaced (not a fan of Scotch locks and every last inch of copper is tarnished), it’s been a pretty reliable trailer for us. A far cry from the little Jamar car hauler he had previously.

@@MichaelTJD60 factory scotch locks, all the way back. Seeing as my dad is big proponent of soldered connections, he wasn’t happy about the locks when the trailer was new and he most certainly isn’t happy about them now.

The coupler on the front you do not have to flip the latch up to hook onto it they are Auto latching just drop it on top of the ball and it will do the rest.

Thanks for the info - the salesman never explained that to me but I guess it's just an old habit to flip the latch up before seating it.

Do you have a link to the spread sheet. I’d be interested in the differences. I’m looking for a similar setup to tow my early bronco. It has full width 1tpon axles and wide tires. Measures 90” from outside to outside, and tow my sons lowered car. Trying to find something that could work for both of us.

Nice vid…been looking for a new trailer for my 806. Also noticed that you still run Jersey tags. Be careful with PennDot…they don’t like when people run out of state tags for too long and live in PA…ask me how I know..

I still have a NJ license for the time being, and I currently rent the place where I live, so I don't think PennDOT can do much. I may consider tagging the trailer in Vermont or Maine. As far as a trailer for your 806, I would recommend a heavier trailer than this one here (at least a B6 with 14,000-lb GVW) as the 806 would easily be too heavy for it. I've hauled a loader tractor with wheel weights that weighs about as much, if not more than an 806 (every bit of 8,000 lbs) and the trailer was definitely feeling it. It was a pretty sketchy ride.

I don't know the exact measurement, but the hubs are almost flush with the outer edge of the fenders which are 102" wide.
