My 2022 planner system has changed quite a bit! What's working and not working for you? 🧐

Due to a change in schedules, I've had less time to be more creative with my planning. So I'm sticking to simple, straightforward planning - writing out my lists, to-dos etc. However, I leave room for drawings & stickers for when I have time to decorate. 'Cos I still love to unwind by designing my planner pages. I just can't do it simultaneously at the moment.

Loving your channel, thank you! I left my Jibun techo and started to draw a time blocking section for work meetings on my Hobonichi Weeks instead (inspired by PaperJoyPH). I also have a tiny sleep tracker there now. And my work tasks I moved to my Hobonichi a6 planner (inspired by Lindsay Scribbles) from the Weeks. I was using the a6 as a work daily list anyways. I am still struggling with my monthly system... I tend to want to have monthly, weekly and daily open at the same time AND not to have many notebooks... But hopefully I will find a way through testing different things.

Thanks so much 💖 Sounds like you're figuring it out, I think that's the fun part of all this! Have yet to figure out how to use daily planners but I'm definitely intrigued 🤔

I find it hard to use multiple planners, but gosh, it seems so amazing!

I only started using multiple planners this year and I really love it! But then again... I've got time on my hands 😂

Also love your planners. 7 is far too many for me. But I think you really like journalling a lot more than me :)

Great video! I love thin paper too which is why I stick to my Nanami cafe note notebooks in both A6 and B6 slim. For hardback I prefer Leuchtturm 1917.

I bought the original A5 Hobonichi cousin in December, with the intention of leaving my A5 leuchtturm bullet journal system. I figured the cousin was the closest to what I already did in a bullet journal and that it would be an easy transition. However, my brain can’t unsee pre-printed things and an hourly layout just didn’t work. Plus, while I was scared one page per day wouldn’t work for me because of the countless meetings I can have on one day, I actually found that the A5 size was becoming too overwhelming and it was too much real estate for me. So, after a few days in the Cousin, I moved into a Hobonichi weeks mega and very quickly have fallen in love with it. It’s small and compact enough that I can carry it everywhere. It has the horizontal layout that works for my brain. It has 215 pages for “dailies”, which I think will be more than enough to get me through the year since I rarely do dailies during the summer. I do some column drawing every week because I use it for my grocery list, event/meeting planner, sleep and mood tracker, headache tracker, as well as hours worked all in the weekly page, and on occasion, I’ve written out “journal”-y things in my dailies - though I have a “lines a day” 5 year journal from Leuchtturm that I do most of my journaling in (in my third year of it and it’s very exciting to see it filling up). I find it difficult to have multiple notebooks so I’m really happy that the Weeks fits everything I need it to - though I like to write stories and am scared of using up the notes pages with story ideas, potential story conversations, or something like that, so I’ve bought the Hobonichi companion notebooks and carry two with me, in the front and back of the Weeks - one filled with my version of a bill tracker and another for story ideas. It’s a system that’s working so well two full months into the year, that I don’t foresee changing any time soon… and the only problem I have with it right now is that I want to use a cover for it so it can double as a wallet but I don’t want to add the bulk of a cover to use it as a wallet. Great video, by the way. I always love seeing how people use notebooks and am always in awe at people that can effectively use a multiple notebook system.

how do you print your photos, for your Torii Edition Notebook? Is it a simple printer or a mini printer? I love the small scale. I have a new journal arriving tomorrow, I have decided to de-digitise my organisation. Instead using a Weekly Moleskine Soft Cover Diary for my diary/to-do lists and a fieldnotes notebook for my emotional journaling. But I would like to include photos in my diary, but I do not want to bother with lots of cutting and organising of a4 sheets. I could prefer a mini printer, I can just send a photo from my phone to for speed of journaling.

Oh it's just a regular colour printer 😅 I don't mind cutting out the photos so it's currently working for me but I was also thinking a mini polaroid printer would be a great purchase and make my life easier. Hope you find a printing method that works for you 😆
