@@ianaguilar8090 that’s the world champ difference. Any normal person wouldn’t have been so lucky. But Wolfe Glick, being the world champ that he is, squeaks out a win by the sheer power of that world champ difference

wolf is so mental going for the same play in both matches, he really doesn’t let the pressure get to him. he absolutely called the gastro switch bluff and stood his ground.
@pokemon_humor2 жыл бұрын
there’s no reason to bring Gastro against Wolfe’s team I don’t think this is a bluff he was calling out
@itsukizy2 жыл бұрын
@@pokemon_humor yeah that’s basically my point, wolfey basically just said ‘i don’t think you bring gastro in this matchup, so i don’t feel bad going for the same play again’ the reason i say it’s a bluff is because i think seeing gastro even in team preview puts pressure on eleki and wolfey didn’t let the pressure get to him, he logically arrived at the conclusion that he can safely do the same thing turn one.

Honestly this does not look like a good matchup for Wolfe but he somehow made it work. RNG was def on his side this set, but his team doesn't look like it does too well against Groudon outside of his Rillaboom, who's still threatened by max flare or Charizard/Incin.
@fnfal62862 жыл бұрын
I think he prepped against this and his team was definetly good against grimmsnarl. The Moment he did the same thing in game 2 it was clear that he prepped for this and knew what to do when Groupon KO the regieleki

Why in the world does Ben go throat chop into the opposing incin at 13:04 his incin had just switched in and should have fake out pressure into either Wolfe’s Zacian to prevent the sacred sword or into Wolfe’s incin if he is calling the protect from the zacian

@littlemysummer2 жыл бұрын
One thing the emcee missed to point out is Wolfe's switch to Rillaboom to change the terrain to Grassy Terrain. It will reduce any Ground damage taken by Rillaboom and Regieleki from Groudon on top of the Intimidate effect.
@Shad0wPlasma6662 жыл бұрын
Grassy Terrain weakens Earthquake, Bulldoze and Magnitude, that's it!

@LeTzPlaY1002 жыл бұрын
@@Tsitchom when legendaries enter the pool, the meta tends to revolve around them. That has been true for most formats where legendaries are allowed.

@@LeTzPlaY100 makes sense. I just wish creativity wasn't hindered so much. That's what I've always loved about Pokémon
@ArtoriasSamus2 жыл бұрын
@@jdizzle1779 I think this format is more interesting than people give it credit for. Yes the meta right now is revolving around the big ones like Zacian, Groudon, and Kyogre to name a few; the creativity comes in with things like different EV spreads, item and move choice, and the support around those meta-defining restricteds. People are going to use the best of the format because it just boosts your chances of winning each match by that much, but you also give your opponent so much more knowledge about your team if you only stick to the meta.
@pourushsharma90042 жыл бұрын
@@ArtoriasSamus True but the thing is that the diversity in EV spreads, item choices and nature's has always been there. The past formats allowed much more variation in team compositions, while still preserving creativ choices in items, etc. This format restricts you to either use the good mons, or suffer, like Wolfe did when he didn't use Zacian in SLC regionals.

Dude nobody gives a shit even if he does "cheat" the mons. It literally does not give him an advantage because everyone at this level has the perfect IV's and EV's. It would just save him time. If it gave any ingame advantage I would be there right with you but it literally doesn't. Why do people even care? Gatekeeping because someone did not waste hours hatching eggs etc? Pretty sure he has a few friends that train the mons for him. Is that illegal too? Can't make this shit up.
