I definitely didn’t have the results that I wanted but still managed to take some lessons out of this race. This was my first DNF and I'm feeling pretty bummed but onward I go! Enjoy this footage and I'll see you guys next time!

I had to take a 10 minute break after the third lap or so to cool down. After getting doused with ice water for a while I managed to get two more laps in. I’m not sure how to prevent it. Happened to me last year at Dutch when it was 95*. Maybe I need to get in better shape or wear less safety gear to get better air flow. Let me know when you figure it out.

In my opinion there are some C class riders that are such sandbaggers. Not you just to be clear lol but some other guys
@DetroitQBall112 жыл бұрын
Yeah this was my 3rd race & I can see your point - but I dig the challenge or just to watch a rider & pick something’s up that we aren’t doing is pretty kool- but that big wreck at the start tells me their is some hot head alpha types or just lack or respect maybe towards others- I think this is a good community that’s why I’m going to keep trying these events out- it’s up to all of us to police it to certain degree- but sandbagged can turn us all into better riders

I’d you don’t have a camelback get one and fill half pedialite and half water. A few swigs during the race will bring your energy level right back. I’ve been away about 5 years, going to try and race the last couple this year. Nice bud!

I remember my first hare scramble. Long before electric start. My bike was dialed so as long as you gave it a good kick she fired right up. Not this time. 50 riders and I was 48 in the first corner. Cool track. Good luck on the next race. Hopefully the heat will be less of a factor.

Prep with food also at least 3 days before race.I eat a lot of pasta 2 days before a race.Day before race I eat big on steak and burgers.I drink tons of water treated with electrolytes for about 4 days before race.The electrolytes are great to stop cramping.It takes about 30 hours to actually process electrolytes so you need to build them up for days.Drinking them during a race only helps a little bit I only do water on race day.I tried electrolytes in my camel back and it makes me have to piss.Getting heat stroke is no joke and can come out of nowhere even if your in good shape.I had it when I was 16 and really have to watch it as once you get it can hit you easier.I started to get it at loose moose enduro in 2017 because I was out of shape.I ended up with 3 cracked ribs because I just couldn't handle the bike anymore.
