I'm riding the 2021 Strattos S8D and I'm so happy with getting my hands on such a value-for-money bike during this pandemic. Also, kudos for providing such an in-depth English review! Really helps because Polygon's main fanbase isn't English speaking at the moment.

Thank you for this excellent review. I just purchased my first carbon bike thanks in part to your review and positive description. Hopefully I am as happy with a Polygon Strattos S8 as you are. For anyone else considering Polygon who many not know of this Indonesian company, I believe they do contract work for other bike companies too, like Giant and Marin, so that raises the quality expectation. And Wiser, you did a good job showing off Singapore in the background! I've been a few times for work, but never rented a bike while there. Next time!

Great review, it would be really good for you to do a bike mechanic video on this model when you can. I'm seriously thinking of getting one of these, just that the local dealer here is an online retailer which means they are cheap, but the service outlets they have affiliated with are nowhere near here. It makes me nervous about servicing as some bike shops also like to charge more to service bikes from brands they don't partner with.

Polygon has indeed up their game with their bikes in recent times.. They are on par with big brands in terms of design and specs. Just swap the alloy wheels for a lighter carbon wheelset , carbon handlebar and seatpost and its gonna be a great bike 🚲.

Since my friend is getting a new road bike I thought I should get one as well. I'm probably going to get one of these in rose gold if they're still in stock. I have a polygon Helios c3 from 2016 which I haven't ridden much of in the last 2 years because I suddenly grew 3cm and now it's a bit too small. Wheel weight won't be a problem for me, my main bike is a Polygon Colossus T8 with a 2017 Siskiu d7 for backup. Pretty sure mountain bike wheels are heavier. Weather is getting wet again, around the time of your review I think I got caught in the rain twice on my Saturday rides. Lucky I was on a mountain bike. Great review! Btw how are the brakes? One of the other reasons I don't ride my road bike much is that the brakes are really weak, sora rim brakes and I'm used to my 4pot xt hydraulic disc brakes on my Colossus. I know they probably aren't that strong but as long as they're easy to brake with, it's enough, those Soras can barely stop my bike down mount Faber have to squeeze fully just to slow down a bit.

Been riding 2022 Stratos S8D for 870s Km. Very comfortable for short jaunts and for century rides. Definitely value for money. Perhaps if you want to reduce the bike weight you can upgrade wheelset, seat post and handle bar with carbon, although I feel the standard components are enough. Never regret choosing this Polygon and not swayed by famous brands. From what I observed, Polygon company also produce bikes for Bianchi, Giant, Marin, and several other brands. Perhaps the technology derived from these productions form the basis for Stratos and Helios bike classes, enabling Stratos S8D to be very comfortable for long rides.

Indeed! It's a steal considering how much you are paying for this bike. Can't go wrong with full ultegra r8000 mech groupset components with carbon frame and fork.

Got the S7D after looking at the major brands where their prices were not so great. Polygon value is very good, almost comparable to a velobuild without the hassle haha. Good review 👍

This bike looks to be comparable to far more expensive bikes from more established brands. If the wheels are not quite as good then that would make sense. They still look good though.

Depends on your inseam but yeah size S do fit both of us pretty well. 172cm and 173cm if you are curious about our height.

Yes that is correct Jay. Everything is the same except for the groupset.
