2022 RAM Trailer TPMS setup

Thank you for taking all the time on your videos, they are great! I just took delivery of my truck, same as yours, it took 5 months and 7 days but definitely worth the wait. I got the trailer tpms, your video helped me a lot since I also had a 405 number pop up. Twice now when I hook up the same trailer they I've configured, it says no trailer tpms connected and then sometimes it works. Do you ever have issues when you reconnect to the same trailer? Thank you!

Yeah mine keeps forgetting sensors.. prob a glitch in uconnect.. hopefully they fix it soon

@@RockyRohde Thanks! Each time I'm having to redo the sequence which is easy enough but then I have to air all the tires up again which is annoying. Glad to know it's not something I'm doing wrong. Appreciate your videos!

Question I have 2022 Ram 1500 Ltd do they come with trailer TPMS capability or is that special feature?

@@dimapro it was an option when I ordered it, it comes with 4 tpms for your trailer tires, allows u to see it on your dash.

I know u have a new truck now but this is for anyone who has the ram. Mine still does this when hooking up trailer, if I click on use this trailer then use a different trailer and then use this trailer a few times with the set target pressure displayed it'll eventually recognize and work. Pain in the butt and not how it should be but better than re doing all the sensors again.

Do you need to have your trailer hooked up and the 7-pin cord connected to do this, or can you just park your truck close to your trailer?

So how much pressure you had to let out? You edited the video on each tire. At the end the pressures weee in the 30-40’s. Dropping 5 psi will not do it right? Thanks

Yeah I had to let them almost down to 20 psi..

I’m curious if a 5th TPMS sensor is permitted for a dual axle trailer’s spare? I saw there was a screen asking how many tires the trailer had. I wonder if you could enter 5 in that screen, as long as the spare had a TPMS sensor fitted?

Have 2022 3500 mega cab dually with the trailer tpms. What's the work around if it reads 405 on EACH trailer selected? Thanks for your help...your video is great!

Create a new trailer profile. Set it to pressure you want

I got the tow package with my truck but didn't receive any tpms, did you have to have them installed before it shows up in your truck settings, or was it already there? Mine doesn't show the option, but I wanted to make sure before I buy some.

Hey, I used my trailer this weekend. I re did the sync with the sensors, worked fine but then quit on the 3rd start up. It said trailer tpms not configured or setup, I pushed the select this trailer on and off like 5 times and all of a sudden my tpms was back on the screen. Not sure if it works everytime but thought I'd let you know.

You need to see what frequency they are.. Ram changed frequency in 22 for Tpms..
