as a 7 year Subaru tenured dealership technician, yes, I can confirm that turbo studs/nuts are guaranteed to lock up and break unless you use generous amounts of penetration oil and/or heat

Not trolling but asking out of curiosity- why does so much shit break on subarus if they claim to be such a premium brand ?! Never owned one myself but ive had countless friends with STIs of every generation, crosstreks, etc you name it and i dont see these things stay out of shops man. If its not one thing, its always "well when you do this, this will happen and then these 3 other things will happen after" and i feel like i have yet to know a healthy subaru. Its just people who are obsessed with the car. Whats the deal brother??

I had caliper bolt on my sti seize and broke off . Cost me rediculous head ache.. oh yeah and spun a rod bearing with regular oil changed interval. wtf.. but I love my subie..

@@shad3128 ive never interpreted subaru as a premium brand. I would consider my car healthy, I just wasnt ready to deal with extremely heat soaked turbo studs.

I enjoyed this, the commentary was well spoken and relaxing to listen to. I too have been wanting to get the UEL Headers for the sound but and worried about the wear and tear on the engine "supposedly".

Damn i got rear ended week 2 mine and didnt think to ask about having them color match the bumper damn smart move. Now its in for TOB or clutch gone (13k no power mods yet cause of this issue for months). Thats my biggest gripe, i havent been able to send it on power mods cause for months it felt 1 shift away from grenading even though they tried saying it was fine first time i had them look at it. Those UEL do sound great, may need to add that too

I test drove a 2020 wrx. I’m a big guy too 6’3 and at the time was 260. I didn’t fit in it and was very disappointed. So I passed on it. I currently have an overland outback 3.6. While I was getting service I test drove a 2023 WRX and man that thing was so roomy. Definitely a step up on interior space

Do you have any mods done to the shifter? I hear is sloppy and all. Any mounts mods ? Like pitch stop and the like

I do not have any mods done to the shifter or transmission. At 22k it still feels crisp. Not quite like new, but definitely not sloppy. No pitch stop either

Yeah just the relay is needed because I have LED switchbacks

To get the most benefit out of them yes. All headers require a tune. I would not run this car daily without. I will say I did drive it a few times before the tune and it didn’t die but it didn’t feel like it used to. But don’t recommend long term driving without.

@@waybach the carnivore diet is a animal protein only diet. Meat, cheese, eggs etc. on this diet I lost 30lbs, my blood pressure went down, cholesterol went down and all my labs are the best they have been in a long time. It’s also helped my acid reflux, aches and pains and mental health. It’s definitely worth looking into.

@@jaidedeye same. I've been on it since the end of January and I am down almost 40lbs. My doc was surprised cause I had high blood pressure a year prior like borderline requiring medicine and mine was like 114/75. Its not hard.

The Va sti sounds better than both the Va Wrx or Vb Wrx. Whether the ej is running elh or ulh.

@@NuhashHossain the sti with elh doesn’t have that Honda sound people think the Va and vb Wrx have , it has a very unique sound to it. While it may not be as good sounding as a nice dp catback ulh combo. You can’t deny that a killer b elh header and an ewg sound nice. Also with a good elh the sti still rumbles on cold start and up to about 3k-3500rpm. After that it just has a buttery smooth sound.
