2022 Supra SA400 surf demo

While picking up my boat from the dealer I took the opportunity to demo a 2022 Supra SA450 and a new Phase 5 Matrix. Amazing boat and I liked the Matrix so much I took it home with me! Maybe one day I can afford one of those luxurious Supra boats!! ❤️

Hows the wave on the SA? Any noticeable difference between it and your Max? Great buy with the Matrix as well. Picked mine up last year and was a huge difference, so smooth and easy to ride.

The waves were pretty comparable between my loaded down Max and the SA which had 300 lbs lead and stock ballast. I’d say I might have a little more push in some sections of the wave than the SA but it is VERY close. The main difference I noticed was the shape of the wave. The SA has a more defined lip and rampiness to it than my Max which tends to be more rounded at the front of the wave with less defined lip until further back in the wave. Overall it seemed pretty close and I liked riding behind both boats. Going out today on the Max now that she’s back out of the shop and I plan to give the P5 some good long runs today to get used to it 🤙

I hear ya it’s not for everyone. To be honest the reason I use music is because most of the audio from the GoPro is pretty bad especially for water sports. Audio levels and quality constantly change from drops of water getting on the mic ports. Then there is also the loud exhaust that drones out the audio levels since I don’t have a surf pipe on my Moomba. The SA had one but there are other issues that constantly happen with water drops and such. The pole I use also transfers a lot of unwanted noise and is picked up by the mic, especially when I shove the pole into my life jacket. So I add music to fix the shortcomings of the GoPro audio. Sometimes I can still use the audio if it’s not horrible. Sorry you don’t care for it but I think it’s better than a bunch of audio level drops and poor mic quality.
