As an owner of a GR Sport - its the full package with a focus on off road but with the plushness of on road comfort. Its quick off the mark and regardless of weight inside or out it just goes. I'm just waiting on remapping and exhaust upgrades. If your in the market - do it!

Yep, GX. You need to add tyres, rock sliders, steel bull bar, lockers, proper platform roof rack, rear bar with a tyre carrier to get that bloody tyre where it should be and now a lift to cope with the extra weight. I think the aftermarket must love how soft each generation of cruiser gets.

Yes, GR Sport looks the go and with a whole swag of ARB accessories will be even better for work and play. Absolutely high priced however, what else is there for that money considering the Toyota reliablity and resale? Only my thoughts for what it worth which ain't much. 🙃

If the e-KDSS was offered (even as an option) on all models, I'd get the VX. As I can always fit aftermarket lockers. But no aftermarket is available that is equivalent to the e-KDSS. So sadly for me, that means having to opt for the GR Sport variant.
@robyncrighton12552 жыл бұрын
I think the thing people forget about the GR payload, is that the weight the lockers is already included in the GVM, as well as other differences. So when you go for the GX..pimp it up with lockers, better suspension, bullbar, rocksliders etc, you are likely to be getting close to your GVM just the same as a GR, anyway.

@@markmerlin3424 well that is just miss information. This 300 is based on the new Tundra which has been having all kinds of issues. It (the 2022) may turn out to be the least reliable half ton in the long term reliability study in a few years. Secondly the Ranger (1st place) has beaten the Tacoma (3rd place) for long term reliability once again. Toyota has never beaten Ford in long term reliability in the small truck survey. This just goes to show that Toyota reliability is in some cases just fake news.
