New 2022 Taos Owner. System display software is so much better than this now. The SEL version even has customizable ambient lighting. Edit: I'll add that one of the improvements is an in-dash tuning scheme for the 4Motion transmission. Three presets for your AWD and one custom. If you go full eco (or eco with sport handling) 36mpg is attainable.

Thanks for the compliment! To delete any destination information do the following: with the nav map show, click on the settings icon on the bottom right, then, in the window that pops up, click on “manage memory” then click on “delete user data”. 2 Guys - how do I get my infotainment console to work? I have had my 2022 Taos for 4 months and the VW dealer has had my car 3-4 times. Is this an ongoing glitch? I read on the FB VW page and many having this same issue. Navigation is poor at best. Backup camera works randomly. Car randomly sends me notifications that my car doors are open. Very frustrating. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks for the question and sorry for all the issues your having. You are correct in that your not alone, many are having the same issue, and while I will give you some suggestions, I’m afraid that until VW does a software update, these issues will reappear. Suggestions: 1. With the vehicle running, push and hold the infotainment screen power button for 10 seconds. That should force it to restart. 2. Reset the infotainment screen to its default settings by clicking on the “Settings” icon on the infotainment screen, then scroll to the bottom and click on “Restore Factory Settings”. Although I’m not so sure that will help solve the issues, it may temporarily fix them. Hope these suggestions help, definitely keep any dealership appointments you have as this should be covered under warranty. Thanks for watching and don’t forget to hit that subscribe button!

Thanks for the question. Since it’s under warranty I would suggest bringing it back to the dealer for them to fix. Short of that you could try to locate the infotainment fuse, pull it out, wait a minute then put it back in to see if that jolts it back to life. Thanks for watching!

The hand gesture seems useless while driving... so one hand is on the wheel... your eyes should be scanning the road but instead you are focusing on getting just the right hand gesture to progress to the next screen Maybe voice control. Like the ability to be able to say Taos next screen or taos open media app or nav app or something along those lines. Gestures didnt work on phones well why would it work on a car
