2022 Women in Blue Honorees - San Diego Police Department

The San Diego Police Foundation presented the 11th Annual Women in Blue Luncheon: Heart & Valor on Thursday, April 14, 2022.
Supporters of the Women in Blue movement joined us to hear the remarkable stories of the female officers and civilian professionals who protect and serve San Diego. This inspirational event promotes diversity, leadership, and the empowerment of women.
This year's Women in Blue theme called attention to the striking balance of the heart and valor of women in policing. They embody a heart full of enthusiasm, driven with purpose, and a spirit of valor, courageous in the face of adversity.
Leading the way to advance women in policing, the San Diego Police Department signed the 30x30 Pledge, a national initiative to increase the representation of women in police recruit classes to 30% by 2030. To support SDPD’s commitment, proceeds from this event will propel the mission of the San Diego Police Foundation, including support for SDPD's peer mentoring program, the Women's Leadership Conference, efforts to recruit more females to the ranks of SDPD, the Women's Recruiting Expo, as well as scholarships to empower women and inspire the next generation of women in blue.
