With that score, Kristin will probably have to play with the men next time and give Paul McBeth a hard time. Henna also great, considering that in 2 days she at minimum missed 5 near tap-in putts. I felt that she most of the time gave herself the better putts than even Kristin, but that’s where Kristin made all the difference. I didn’t see her miss any short putts, and she made some rather difficult Birdies!

Henna and Eveliina are the best throwers of the disc at distance in FPO. I'm proud of them... but... Unfortunately neither has any self-confidence at or near the putting green. They fall about 2-4 strokes behind round leader all year long. Both just putt afraid, and with a putting technique that encourages failing safe. And for whatever reason they seem unwilling or unable to fix it. I mean, winters are long in Finland. The only part of disc golf training that isn't limited by weather is putting. Is it bad coaching? Lack of support? They putt with the attitude of feeling lucky to hit it at 5 meters, not competing every putt to hit it at 10, 15, 20 meters. Kristin and Paige are always trying from within 20 yards. IF Henna and Eveliina want to be the best in the World, they just HAVE to gotta fix their putting. If they don't want to be the best, what they are doing is fine for a long career of silver and bronze prizes .
@TobyMacNewsboys2 жыл бұрын
Couldn’t have said better myself! I guess as an Estonian I am more biased towards Tattar winning, but seeing competition is always nice. Looking at UDisc, Eveliina and Henna are at the top of the FPO in fairway hits, C1 & C2 hits and parked %. But their putting is simply holding it back. I mean watch eveliina missed putt compilations, they are absolutely brutal. If I was the Innova contract manager of Eveliina, I’d just tell her to practice putting 3h a day and get a sports mental coach. Otherwise like you said, a long nice career of silver and bronze medals 😎
@tomS7292 жыл бұрын
Watching Henna miss those two 3-5m putts on hole nine was actually painful.
@caahacky2 жыл бұрын
Evelina's larruping putting style does her no favours. The slanted angle and lack of spin means they are always turning away from the basket and even if they hit they sometimes slice through the chains. She is such an amazing player its surprising to see her look so grateful when she makes a putt.
@tonydrennan10502 жыл бұрын
Henna and Evelina are like 21 and 22 years old and just finished 2nd and 5th at worlds. Your critique is way too harsh, Paige has had putting problems in the past, and she is a 5x. I personally think Kristan is one of the most accurate and best throwers of the disc in the woman's game, even if she isn't having the same distance. A mental coach to help in the next several years would be a good idea and I do agree with that.

Tattar truly stands alone. The PC commentary needs to be replaced with some tough love! Blomroos and Salonen's putting inside the circle was unbearable to watch and their technique is fundamentally terrible...but, oh no, don't dare hurt their feelings by stating facts and making common sense critiques like, "big mistake...if you want to compete at the highest level, you gotta make that putt!". If this was MPO coverage, the announcers would be holding every male player's feet to the fire if they missed 6-8 putts inside 15 feet in a single round. If a professional basketball player missing 6-8 lay-ups per game, they would be out of a job. Suck it up ladies and start practicing 5 hours a day until the problem is fixed.
