I just bought a used 10 year old 1 as soon as I found out theses things have never been changed. Cleaned it up push the button and off I went. Awesome machine. Love my new ride. Thanks for the video. These things are a blast. Just the fact that I no longer have to trailer my bike to the trails alone is worth the purchase.

The engineering of simplicity is incredible on these bikes. No radiator, no electronics, no EFI, runs on low octane fuel. Yet is lighter than just about anything on the market in class. Honestly, you can leave it stock and have a lifetime of enjoyment. When you head offroad and get in the low gear tricky stuff, is when its time to make some mods. i.e. You would not want to do BlackBear Pass in its stock form as you roll too fast and the jetting has challenges at elevation.

I have a 2021 with a few modifications and really enjoy it. Where you were riding is right in that bike's element. So much fun on the paved back roads and dirt roads.

Hmmmm well the bike is tall and for some people that is a issue but im happy with the height. The suspension is fine for most riders if you are a pro level rider then you might want want to up grade the front springs and fluid but i am still riding it stock. I have installed. 5.8 gal tank and now i notice the bike diving alot more when the tank is full on the street. As for vibration I really think it’s like any other single cylinder thumper it’s probably a little bit more smooth than like a CRF R model. The rear shock and spring is fine for my weight and for what I carry on my rack I’m about 200 pounds.Ive carried 2 40lbs dog food bags on back and seems to do fine . All in all it does everything i want it to do and is super easy to work on hope this helps ✌🏼 Thanks for watching

I have to chose between the 300l Xr650l or Dr650.... I 've been riding since i'm 10yo all kinds of machines ( motocross 250/450, harley softail, kawa z1000 , snowmobil , quads and even jet skis ) . I am FED UP of having to use a trailer to go in the woods. I want a machine that i can quickly leave from my garage to the woods via the roads , find a small pound, fish , have a little puff and a good red bull then go back home. What would you all consider i should buy?! Any advice will be appreciated ! Thanks.

@@mrsmel269 Thank you I found a 1994 paid $1600 for it all I’m doing is rebuilding the carburetor hope it works well. Has 20,000 miles I thought it was a good deal to give a shot if not I’ll sell and buy new if my experience isn’t the best with this older one

@@mrsmel269 it’s actually at the shop got the carburetor rebuilt but it still has a little backfiring gonna check the valves I hope that’s the reason … yes and I’m gonna have the guy check compression

Love theses old school new bikes. I realize your bike is brand new. Any predictions on how long Honda will continue to make em? I has one years ago, considering another I suppose. However love my 300l.

I bouthg a 2021 brand new it burned lots of oil warranty repair it also they try to deny it finally i got it fix after 3 months i was very carefull during brake in time i took a higway trip 400 miles 75 80 miles pwr hour it burned almost 1 courter of oil i dont tink this is a higway bike unless you do several modifications like richer rejeting oil cooler high flow air filter free flow exhaust some peple even modify cilinder and cilinder head with bigger finns i love the bike but if i have to do all this then i better go back to my klx 300sm is just as fast and its ready to go good luck to you all i was not lucky with this bike
