The 700 is the perfect bike for someone who wants to play with it. Counting the OEM seat I have three seats that can be fitted with the turn of a key having a Yamaha solo saddle and a C-Racer flat track seat/tail. Finish it the way you want. I've replaced the lollipop tail light with a classic Lucas Brow tail light Chinese rip off, but with LEDs. The headlight on the new one is a bit like what I did with my 2018 model, but I did a 2018 or so XSR900 shell and custom side supports. Eliminated the back section of the rear fender. Graphics have been made to differentiate it from others, as if the previous stuff wasn't enough. A full Delkevic 18" stainless can exhaust was added to get better tone with minimal increase in volume, comes in around 96 dB at around 5000-6000 rpm, in the high 80s at idle and low rpm. Got an Ohlins for the rear and a Matris fork kit. Figure make the suspension best as can be and leave the engine stock. Love what it's turning into... and the way the front tire can tap dance on the pavement when motoring away from a stop.

The XSR700 is basically a styling canvas...you buy one to build something else out of it,in my case,a replica of Kenny Roberts flattracker replica... Just bought a new Tracer7,and round the Highland roads,i'm not missing my old Tracer 900,though i have shaved about 15-20kg off of it,fitted the 55mm shorter swingarm(faster turning) and had a full de-cat system/K+N/Air intake scoop from new...so light,nimble and small compared to my old CP3...i wouldn't go back,bigger is not always better!(The XSR700 will get finished after my operation,115bhp,same as the CP3).

It provides the opportunity for the rider to change things up for the look they want. The rear subframe allows anything from a flat track tail to a clubman tail to a solo saddle with a standard rear fender. Side covers are something some riders may add, but not me. I swapped out the white rear brake reservoir for a titanium color alloy machined aluminum reservoir for the look. It has allowed me to customize the rear fender area, the tail light, the headlight, seat, and eventually side number plates for display of my cam chain tensioner business stickers and those of the businesses that aid in my making those parts - and they will act as saddle bag supports when traveling. It allows me to make it suit me and look different from any others. I don't need no steeking side covers. Put 'em on some other bike.

I didn't catch when you told us about the suspension system- a fairly important part of the overall system, being charged with keeping the wheels on the seal as much as possible. Things like if a new upgrade over the last release, maker, fork diameter- (43+?) Adjustability- (Rebound, Damping...) Same with the rear unit.. Is it unchanged, or an upgrade? All the above parameters apply. Do they share exact setup as MT-07?? I don't mean to be a negative Nancy, I just feel it's an important part of the bike. Hey I've got a restricted CB650R and it is the best looking 650 imo, but being restricted, the 4zyl engine feels really slow. I had the idea to sell it and buy this one instead (also restricted)...it probably is much more fun than mine. I don't know what to do now :( ..
@redangrevival Жыл бұрын
The Honda 4 cylinder is a great engine, however being restricted you will miss out on the nice top end power. I think the parallel twin in the Yamaha will be more fun 👍

I cannot say for sure! Maybe not both feet completely flat on ground

The swing arm is longer on the XRS 7 and the 9 version as well which in turn helps the bike in the plantation department.

@@redangrevival Agreement. For the city sure MT07 is fine but to travel on the highway and twitching ahhhh NO !

It is the same as the mt07. Just different styling. Non adjustable rear shock. And taller seat and bars.
