Koi are active but at those temps I'm not surprised, I've had -3 and snow, and pond down to 5c but I'm not complaining hopefully that will help with spring parasites 🤞. Hope your backs feeling better 👍🐕
@jolleykoi59702 жыл бұрын
Yhea thats my thoughts we haven't really had a winter and cold weather here to kill off any parasites which is annoying as they keep saying we are going to get cold weather but we havent at all. A couple of frosty morning at best. But nothing major. Thanks Andy 👍🏻. All the best, Tel 😊🙏🏻😊

Happy New Year Tel! Hope your back gets better soon. Hot water bottle on it will help to release the tension on top of what you are doing to help it. The sanke, I hope it gets better soon too. Hope it's not a bacterial infection as you mentioned the spots were under the scales... Not a lot you can do at the moment with the low temp.. But something to definitely keep an eye on. Take care. Pond and koi are looking good.

Thanks Lau, Happy new year to you too 🎇🎉🎆🎇🎉. Thanks for the lovely message 😍. Still a little stiff at times but its better than what it was from the first half of the video. The sanke i think is doing better, a few spots have dissapeared by the looks of it and the others are just white. Still not 100% sure on what it is but still keeping an eye on it. Hope your back feels better soon. Our temperatures are all over the place at the moment. We've had some -2's and then up to 10's. Crazy. We haven't had any snow yet but I wont count it out yet.

Dang work gets in the way.. Koi are looking good. I am sure once it warms up the spots will go away. I see they are nice and active I am going to have to try and do a under water shot just so I can see my fish.. Ice covered pond.. Going down to -30 tomorrow... Trade ya... Please Still watching

Woooow -30°c thats cold. We havent even really had cold weather. Which is not good as it don't knock back the paracites for spring and water tempretures are to cold for treatments. Thanks for watching Chris.😊👍🏻🙏🏻 All the best, Tel 😊🙏🏻😊

HI thinking of getting a skimmer like yours is it any good for fine bits on the surface would i be able to use some filter floss to catch the fine bits?
@jolleykoi59702 жыл бұрын
Its great at removing a lot of debris but fines would be haRd to remove with the skimmer and if you used filter floss i think you would end up slowing it down. If its fines you want to remove then you need a filter for the fines. The skimmer is used as a protien skimmer and to remove leaves and floating debris👍🏻. But you could run it from skimmer to a pump to a gravity filter box that has filter floss on the top. But as the basket has holes in it, you would still let by smaller chuncks. So maybe a pre filter before want to remove the fines like a small pressure filter, which leads to a bakki shower (gravity filter) where you can put the filter floss on top. 👍🏻 Thanks for watching and commenting. All the best, Tel 😊🙏🏻😊

@@jolleykoi5970 Was thinking of running it thru a pressure fillter then to a box or something
