I know there’s better bikes out there than MT10 but just speaking for myself having 20 years of bike life experience and owning 20 various bikes in the past, the MT10 is far the best one I’ve ever owned 🤙

It's my 3rd Street Motorcycle owned 2 636's previously. I LOVE the MT10 the torque is absolutely amazing and I would say anyone can handle it just don't whiskey throttle it. It's very peppy and reminds me a little of the tq to weight of my Yz250. If you can throw around a YZ250 you'll love this bike.

The mt 10 is an amazing bike! I tested it and really liked it but the deal breaker was the fuel economy. Ended up with a 2023 gsx S1000 instead. Better mpg, ergonomics, less tech crap and the quicker shifter was much much better. I love the transformer look of both bikes. Can’t really go wrong with either bike.

Thanks for for your comment! Congrats on the new bike! The MT10 is a toy for me, fuel economy did not play a role in choosing this motorcycle. My understanding is that fuel economy has improved from previous years. It's hard to beat that CP4 engine sound!

Factory suspension settings tends to be SUPER soft on Yamahas (like the MT-09 for example). Get it adjusted and the bike will handle much better.

Enjoy your new ride, I just picked up my 22 black MT 10 on Monday and I have an Indian for two up riding. You should set up your suspension, watch videos and do it yourself.

I own the same bike but the SP model. Power is ok. You get used to it pretty quickly and want more.

Do not turn lif completely off or you may flip the bike if your not used to wheeling. It wheelies great in lif 1. Mine does.

I've always had Triumphs but for the first time in many years I'm switching to Yamaha. I pick up a new MT10SP in a couple of days coming from a Street Triple RS and I can't wait! Did you decat yours and did it need a servo delete to stop any error codes? Cheers.

Congrats on the new bike! Yes mid-pipe and can. I did not need a servo buddy. The euro spec flash took care of any lights.

Now im at 1631 km so it is breaked in by the manual 😊 im cheking the mileage get 210-220 km with 14l and on reserve until now. I hope it will get better as time goes by. Even though it has to do how you run the bike. On 140km/h with 6 gear it goes up to 18km/l. I have the curremt consumption always on so i can check how i run the bike. It will a little bit different now that ive breaked it in 😊

@@667switch yes ive changed it at 1000km and oil filter now im for the 5.000km change. it took 4 liters of yamalube approximately. i wish it had better fuel meter though, a lot of people including me have this complaint

i have the same bike in the same color 1100 km in it! always in mode A all aids in 1. the bike is a beast 😅

😊 although it needs to be super alert all the time. The bike is no joke for fooling around. The other day rain started on my ride back and didnt change the mode and two times i ve felt the rear tire slip.. i was super uncomfortable until i ve stopped riding. in the end all ended well 😊

Rain is no fun when dealing with 2 wheels! I would too be uncomfortable on the MT10, just because the bike is still new. Glad it worked out for you!

Watch Dave Moss on suspension for that bike he'll get you step by step the MT-10 is a great bike for the money you keep it under 7 its a baby you get over that its whole different machine wakes right up.

Well the only Thing I would Tell Someone whos never got an 1000cc , Get a feel for the bike, ur not marc marquez, drive at ur speed and built from there . Btw I drive mine with lif off, the wheelies in 1st gear are brutal

I had the very same thought after watching this. He has more dollars than sense I guess. Doesn’t even know how to set up the suspension. Even novice riders can still Google it to learn how. Sounds like he’d be better off on an MT125 as not sure if he even knows how to change gears. The entire video looked like he stayed in 1st. 😢
