Wow that sure flew better !!! Great job !!!I have one still in it's box..... might be time to dig it out 😉🤪😎

All depends where you're at in your journey. If you're a early on in your plane flying experience, the A800 is really a nice one to fly with. Be really careful you don't crash it nose first into the ground or whatever because the brushed motor really doesn't stand up to any abuse. It may be the first thing to go. The wings and fuselage are so-so toughness, but most importantly, they're easy to glue and get right back in the air (Foam Tac glue is amazing!). If you've already been flying for a while, then the A800 isn't any challenge to fly, but it's still a nice relaxing jaunt around the park when you're not in the mood to "push the limits" and all of that. But again, with the brushed motor being weak and fragile, I'm really happy I finally got the brushless setup working well. :)

Can you tell us which motor and escape you used for this Update, please ? I crashed my one yesterday in reason of to much wind and I like to do this the same way like you

Sure! I simply used the motor, motor mount, prop mount, prop, ESC, and servos (i.e. sort of a whole system that all works together) from the XK A600 or from the XK A430. They are slightly different from each other, but either should work fine. In this video what you see there is from the A600. So if you look up spare parts for the A600 (or A430 if you prefer) on AliExpress, or Banggood, or eBay, or wherever you find them in stock and affordable (most likely AliExpress), it's not too much work to slice a little and glue a little and get the motor mount base secured firmly to the A800 fuselage. I will say that this motor doesn't feel like it's any more powerful than the original brushed motor. In fact, maybe it's even a little less powerful? (I really don't know because it's been like 3 or 4 years since I've flown one with the original brushed motor and I just don't remember clearly how much power it had.) But it's nice having the brushless motor that's more reliable and for which there are countless places you can order replacements from yet today. The only downside is that using the A600 system isn't really going to mix-and-match well with common hobby-grade parts. If you decide to use the A600 motor, (at least as far as I could tell), you're kind of locked into all the parts of that system. I've added some links and extra info up in the video description/notes. Good luck with it, and ask me if any other questions!

What size batteries you using
@SteveGergetz Жыл бұрын
The ones you see me using in this video are 300 mAh 2s, but I'm usually using a 450 mAh 2s battery that gets me about 13 minutes of flight time (at like 80% throttle) and the battery ending up around 3.7 volts. So even the 300 mAh 2s battery will still get me something like 8+ minutes.
