A simple alternative to replacing the horn is to adjust the existing horn's tone/volum. the factory horn has a single Phillips screw on the back of the factory horn (you have to take out the 12mm headed mounting bracket bolt to see it) and thought it looked like an adjustment screw. Sure enough, I played with it and got a way better sound from the horn. You have to take out the big plastic cover in the front, with the hood opener hole to get to the horn, but not a big deal with small blade screw driver and pliers.

Ya, I did get my Civic upgraded w/out dropping bumper, video of that on my Civic playlist. But it did take a removal of a bracket. Now both sound much better!!

A heads up to those with a different trim level - where ZoomGas installs the new horn you may have a circular sensor already installed there. If so on the other side of the engine bay there's already a tapped grommet where you can attach the 2nd horn. You can even use the gold screw from the horn kit for mounting. It looks almost stock!

I believe that circular thing on hybrid models is the "acoustic vehicle alerting system" - aka the humming noise when in reverse or full-ev mode.

Wire nuts don’t belong on moving vehicles. Solder or chimp connectors are the correct way to insure a proper connection.

So the horn they provide is just a high tone, so you add a low tone to it and that gives you the strong dual tone sound. Thanks for watching!

I noticed they got cheap and cut corners all over. Paid for ex-l trim expecting leather seats, but they put carpet fabric on the sides of the driver and passenger seats instead of wrapping the leather down both the sides!

The 6 clips come out by pulling up w the tool shown in the video on the center of the clip. If you only swap the horn it will not give you the fuller, dual tone, just a lower ‘meep meep’. Thanks for watching!

There is space but the wire harnesses I have linked in the description would not be long enough to reach to that side. So you would need to splice extensions on to make that work, which is possible. Thanks for watching.

Well that’s very interesting, so does it sound like the meep-meep of prior CR-V’s? Take a picture if you could. So then you can just buy the double horn kit along with the other parts I have listed to upgrade.

@@javedamin I think it varies by trim level as I had the circular sensor there also. If you look at other side of the car there's already a tapped grommet you can use to attach the new horn. If you purchase the horn from Amazon the supplied screw even fits.

Grab an ohmmeter and check that you have continuity thru your harness after you have it all connected and that you have a good ground.

The plus has power, but when I connect both horns it does not work. My problem is I dont have a ground. How do I add a ground between both of the connectors?
