It's always special when triplets successfully grow and fledge. Thunder & Akecheta are awesome, well-seasoned parents. Seeing Treasure, Koa, and Sterling learn, soar & play together has been spectacular. TY, another fun recap!

I loved watching this nest last season. My first year watching bald eagle nests. This one was a joy to watch considering there were 3 eaglets to raise. Thunder and Chet certainly knew how to me p order in the nest. Loved when the youngsters were going to start arguing Thunder.Just fed them until they were full then continued incubatiing them. You don't mess with momma😂😂😂

I absolutely love love love Thunder and Chet.❤️☺️🦅🦅. They are such wonderful parents and they surly love their babies too and they always made sure too that their babies were always fed, loved and even though once the Eaglets got a little older to where they were able to fly, both parents were still around keeping their eyes on their young too. Dad was great at bringing in the food and mom was awesome at freeing their babies. Also, the E’s were definitely aching to get up into the air and fly and when they were able to realize they could fly, there was no stopping them too. A little squabble from time to time and dominance too but, this family has been so awesome to watch and when the season is over I’ll surly miss mom and dad cause I love to watch mom especially cause she shows strength and fight too. Such a strong female for sure. Doesn’t take dump from any other bird thet may fly around the area and is quite protective of her home and young too. I have not been checking in as much lately, but at last check I know there was still at least one hanging around the historic nest at the top of the ridge. That was probably about a week ago.

Why does Dad have tags on his feet and wings? Also, have the babies left now or are they still there?

I believe all the eaglets have departed - but I could be wrong! The tags are because of the "research" aspect of the islands - used for easier, distance identification. Not loving it, myself - seems a bit much.
