We love ours. We got ours in Magnetic Gray Metallic. We don't plan on doing any off road driving so we choose the Sport. But I must say it handled well when we went up to a remote cabin in the Shenandoah mountains. It handled old rutted logging roads and a very steep gravel driveway with ease. (while in 4wd high mode) My only complaint would be the projector headlights. There is a distinct line where the end of the beam terminates. Not like others lamps where the light diminishes. So far off objects are out of sight until they cross that threshold. Heated seats would have been nice. I believe you can add them if ordering a vehicle. The lack of a moon roof on mine was a plus. I actually didn't want one. Future upgrades are a pillar ditch lights and eventually a 2 inch lift to level it out and perhaps TRD Pro wheels with a little more rubber. But for now its the perfect road trip vehicle for us two and our dog.

The auto-high beams, as well as the LED fog lights and lights, not the DRL’s as they’re still halogens, are on my 2021 TRD ORP w/XP Predator package. Due to the premium package. Not “new for 23”. Also my fuel mileage is 18 city, 22 highway, combined average is 20-20.8. I also use cruise every time possible and don’t dog my truck. Absolutely gorgeous trucks and they’ll last indefinitely with properly maintained fluids and done at the proper mileage and time intervals. Don’t follow Toyota recommended intervals as they are too long!! Also, I traded my 2015 F2FIDDY 6.7 Scorpion 🦂 PowerStroke which I lifted with an 8” BDS suspension lift and put 38” Toyo Open Country MT tires, in on my 2021 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off Road Premium w/XP Predator Package in the Midnight Black Metallic (phenomenal color with the blue flake) with black “leather” interior and it’s got red stitching being a TRD ORP model. Absolutely love my T4R and get significantly better gas mileage than I did in my diesel. I got 8/10 mpg’s on my 6.7 smh

Great comprehensive review. I liked everything except the faux hood scoop. so cheesy. C'mon toyota. Glad my SR5 has a "normal plain" hood without that scoop!

Great looking 4Runner. It's too bad you can't get many major options on it (Moonroof, heated/cooled seats, etc.)

Sr5 premium has moonroof and heated seats. I wonder why TRD sport didn’t come with those features in USA. Canada offers these features in the TRD sport trim

The moonroof actually takes away about an inch or so of head room for the driver

It does, but I’m 6’2” 220 and my 2021 TRD ORP w/XP predator package, my moonroof leaves me plenty of headroom. I’d think if you were 6’4” it would give you some issues dependent on your hair style, but I think you’d have issues all around being that tall. You’d need an F250 or larger lol
