Thank you, a lot of the times people genuinely have their card declined even when they have money on the card /ticket lost/forgot card or wallet but with experience it become very easy to distinguish between genuine or non genuine, but I have never declined anyone over money yet anyways 👐

@@SALEH_4K_POV They'll be getting declined because they didn't have enough on the card to pay for the last trip and so the card was blacklisted those machines don't acually charge the cards during boarding because the authorisation process slows boarding down too much the cards get charged later usually overnight if that fails then that card can't be used until the charge is settled attempts to use the card on a bus again does seem to prompt another attempt to take the original charge a few minutes later though it's happened to me.

@@tgm9991 From my experience it can be the bank rejecting the payment as well - they may be wanting a pin to be inputted which isn't possible on said machines. Had it happen a few times, worked after using an ATM or chip and pin in a shop.

@@tgm9991 I got told by one of the arriva drivers that yeah your card can get blacklisted if you couldnt pay etc. But also another reason it can be declined is if you use contactless too many times in one day, and the bank asks for a chip+pin transaction (which you can't do on the bus) after a while. The later has happened to me on the bus before, as I had money in the bank as I got paid a few days before it happened. Also I'm sure with arriva, sometimes you get the 10p transaction (then changes to £2 or however much the ticket is), but other days the full ticket price comes out straight away. So surely that means the machines are capable of charging the full amount at point of sale? Lastly I think the frustating thing for drivers as well as retailers is the machine wont tell you why it declined so joe public will try blaming the machine for not working and not the fact that they either had no money or they have to do chip and pin etc.

I've seen many POV bus videos, but this is the best I've watched so far. It's got many elements that every person who loves these sort of videos would love as: The camera shows the perfect position of the dashboard and the front view. We can also see the way you operate the tickets machine as if we were driving the bus, just terrific!. Also you've added the gps and speed limit in a nice a shine way/position. But overall I just loved the lenght of this video. Hopefully you'll upload more content like this one, it's unique!. Cheers from Mexico and keep enjoying the journey.

The steering is nowhere near as responsive as a car, the length makes it difficult to manneuvor around certain spots and the width around tight streets can be a nightmare. Brakes are often awful and janky. If it were easier than a car you wouldn't need your cat D lol

I can confirm these new ADL Enviros are great to drive but I'm not too keen on the Voith gearbox on the newer models especially its reverse selector. The ZF box off the earlier models is far superior and pick up is loads better

Love the vid we use these buses too and they are lovely to drive very smooth. Are you actually allowed to recored tho ? My contract states no electrical divices in the cabin except the ones that are fitted in the bus

Thank you, I honestly prefer the older Volvo single deckers or Merc Citaros compared to this ones unless it's the new electric buses, legally yes it's 100% legal and okay. however, the company contract/policy is negotiable (depends on type of content I guess and depends on the company etc..) worst case scenario will be a dismissal / contract termination
