Tire pressure and tire selection have a factor in a race like this glad you have fun and learned some new things

Thank you, it was a difficult race for me, but a good time was still had. I can see how tire choice and psi would make a difference, I have always kinda been a run what you brung kinda guy lol.

I invested in some rolloffs for this season - hope they work because the last race I did was a mudder and it wasn't fun.

I’m working on getting some ordered now lol. Although I’m hoping I won’t need them, never thought I would be hoping for the dust.

Dude I’ve never been to Ft Sage in these conditions! I bet it’d be awesome in non race environment. Funny coincidence, I won a suspension voucher pulling 1st place at Ft Sage cross country. So I landed on your channel researching Mxtech Raven suspension and saw your John’s Peak review video. I was excited because 1; I’ve ridden up there and 2; finally, someone doing a review video that rides at a decent pace lol. Are you still digging the MxTeck cartridge? Any changes you would make going back? I ride 2020 300xc with the air forks and love the suspension except for high speed chatter in the cobble and rock we have at Shasta Chappie OHV. Keep shredding man! 👊🏼✊🏼

Man that was the first time I had been to Ft Sage and was expecting a desert race not a mudder lol, it was a tough event for me. Love the MX Tech spring conversion. For me, the air fork was good, but over the longer hot races I felt the fork would get stiff as they heated up and I got lighter using fuel/water and such. I wish I would have done it sooner. I would like to go back to Sage OHV and spend a weekend in a job race situation and just have fun exploring, there looks to be some good stuff there. Thanks for checking out the channel, I am glad you enjoy it. See you on the trail 👍👍👍.

I thought you did great jumping up classes, riding in the slop and muck. If there was a way to find flow or get into a groove on this track I sure don't know it.😂 From the start I knew it was a survival game to keep moving for me.

Thanks man, at least I am not setting the bar to high at the start of the season 😂. I can only get better from here I hope.

@fivetwentythreePOV the start and the end of the year are always the hardest, conditions wise. Once we get in the groove and have ground that isn't 80% liquid all will be good.

This mom thinks you did an awesome job on a difficult track. An extra pair of goggles would have helped …. For awhile maybe. It looks like it would have been fun minus the bog factor.❤

@@phedoraoduane4320 thanks mom. It was fun for sure and definitely going to have to plan on extras next time.

That may have been a good one for the KX450f.

I was actually thinking the same thing.

Desert mud is the worst. Sometimes it's sticky clay, sometimes it's loose slop, and a lot of the time it looks exactly the same 🤣

Boy that’s for sure, a lot of sections looked like good dirt but I still struggled to find traction. That being said everyone else seemed to be doing fine lol. Thanks for watching 👍.

You should move your GoPro mount so that it's easier to see, the chin mount is best
@fivetwentythreepov Жыл бұрын
Yep normally I do run a chin mount, but AMA sanctioned races do not allow camera to be mounted to helmets so that’s why I ran it on the chest at this round. I can play with the angle some to get it a bit better but it will still not be as good as on the chin. Thanks for watching 👍.
