you need to turn off the automatic recuperation in the MMI system to have the regen paddle shifters' level stored.. automatic is the default setting and it applies regen braking according to the driving situation (distance to the vehicle in front, crossing street speed limit, etc...)

Regenerative braking works well in B mode. Almost single-pedal driving.

Which level of Q4 E-tron did you test, looks like a prestige level possibly due to the glossy silver on the dash? How does it compare in drive, quiet, and luxury to the same trim level of the ICE Q5?

The regen paddles won't work when cruise control is activated and only works in efficiency mode.
